8th Mie Chainsaw Technical Competition in VISON

~Did you know that there is a chainsaw competition? ~

The ``Mie Chainsaw Technical Competition'' will be held at VISON, where participants will compete in cutting techniques using chainsaws.

The points of competition are "safety, accuracy, and speed."
There are three types of competitions: log cutting, simple felling techniques, and limb removal competition.
Please enjoy a serious tree-felling competition performed by professional foresters, who are rarely seen because they usually work in the forest.

At VISON, complex chainsaw techniques and competition rules will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner for the general public, so you can have fun watching the show.

[A forestry work experience corner will also be held at the same time]
There will also be a trial cutting corner using a real chainsaw, which you will never get your hands on on a daily basis, a log cutting experience with a two-person saw, and a photo booth where you can take a photo pretending to be a forester.
①. Authentic Forester experience (*Junior high school students and above) 10:30-14:00
②. Try cutting down logs with a saw! 10:30-15:00
③. Forester photo booth 10:00-15:00

[Chainsaw art show also held]
Chainsaw art involves carving out works from large logs using just a chainsaw.
Contrary to the loud noise, the result is delicate work that you won't believe was made with a large blade. The performer will be Tetsuya Kajitani, a chainsaw artist who also teaches at kiond's trial classes. During the lunch break of the competition, enjoy some unusual chainsaw feats.

・12:20~…Break (Chainsaw art show by Tetsuya Kajitani)
・13:20～…3rd event Limb removal competition

・14:45～…Closing ceremony
