Daiosaki Lighthouse

Daiosaki Lighthouse ①

Daiosaki Lighthouse is located in the southeastern part of Ise-Shima National Park and is famous for its sparkling white lighthouse and the town of Ishizaka. This lighthouse stands in Daiosaki, which is also famous as kachiji on the coastal terraces.
This lighthouse marks the border between the Kumano Sea and the Enshu Sea, and was built in 1928 as the most advanced lighthouse at the time. The general public can also climb to the top of the lighthouse and enjoy the view.
Although it cannot rise on windy days, it is known as a cape where you can see the Shima Peninsula, the Pacific Ocean, and distant islands such as Kamishima, and you can feel the roundness of the earth as ships coming from offshore appear from the tops of their masts.

Ago Bay, famous for its ria coast, has gentle waves. It is a field that can be enjoyed safely by everyone from small children to seniors. Look, hear, smell, touch, and enjoy. ShimaCity Hamajimaiso Experience Facility “UmiHozuki”

This is a beach experience facility located in Hamajima-cho ShimaCity. It consists of four experience facilities: ``Wanpaku Iso'', ``Furusato Ajibanya'', ``Mugen-tei'', and ``Himono Sobo'', and can accommodate up to 100 people, making it ideal for elementary school and junior high school students' school trips and field trips. .
■“Wanpaku Iso”■
The shallow shore experience facility has a wide expanse of rock that resembles a real ocean with tidal pools.
The shallow rocky shore (40cm deep), where you can touch the fish with your bare hands, is barrier-free so even small children and people in wheelchairs can play. There are sea creatures such as filefish and porgies inside. Slightly larger fish such as dochi sharks (small, docile sharks) and stingrays swim in the deep rocky shore (depth of 60cm), making it fun for everyone from upper elementary school students to adults.
Some of the fiercest people spend the entire summer vacation enjoying the never-ending fun. !

■“Thong Sobo”■
In the seafood processing experience, you can cut fish and make dried fish.
Dried fish usually attracts insects when dried outside, but we have a far-infrared dryer (patented) that allows us to produce delicious dried fish hygienically and in a short time (about 1 hour). Once completed, you can vacuum pack it and take it home.
It is possible to see the process of vacuum packaging.

■“Furusato Ajibanya”■
In the cooking experience, you can try cooking tekone sushi, a local dish from the Shima region. We basically use raw bonito, but for those who don't like it, we can serve it cooked. Enjoy the tekone sushi you made yourself.

■"Mugen-tei"■
Learning experiences include handmade art experiences such as shell art making and pearl strap making. Would you like to commemorate this one-of-a-kind piece in the world?

■"Fishing experience"■
You can try fishing for spiny lobsters, horse mackerel, etc. for a limited time of 20 minutes (ends as soon as you catch one). (Reservations required on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, consecutive holidays, busy seasons, etc.)
[All year]
- Horse mackerel (1,200 yen): The horse mackerel you caught will be cooked and fried (ends as soon as you catch 2 fish). The freshly fried horse mackerel you caught yourself is exceptional! ! !
[Seasonally limited (October to mid-April)]
・Ise lobster (2,200 yen): The lobster you catch will be charcoal-grilled on the spot and eaten. If you do not catch any fish within the time limit, we will guarantee you one fish.
・Caught shellfish (1,000 yen): The shellfish you catch will be charcoal-grilled on the spot and eaten. There are 2 shells, but you can add one shell at a time.
・Exciting fishing (600 yen): Hermit crabs and small fish: Catch and release as many times as you like within the time limit (10 minutes) (no reservation required). Quite popular with small children!
