Pilgrimage to Arita Shrine area
Date: Sunday, February 23, 2025
It is divided into the eastern and western regions of the former Arita Village, Watarai District (currently IseCity obatacho, and Tamaki Town, TamakiTown), and is held as a Shinto ritual to pray for good fortune, warding off disasters, and a good harvest.
Since ancient times, it has been performed as a lion dance in Yuda-go and Yui-go, former Arita Village.
After the shrine was combined, the lion dance of Ryogo was moved to Arita Shrine, and the lion dance was dedicated on February 25th (currently the Sunday before the festival) as the festival day. The male head of the town began touring the western part of the country.
