MotooriNorinaga, the god of academic success and praying for success
The enshrined deity MotooriNorinaga. It was originally located near Norinaga's inner grave and was called Yamamuroyama yagami, but was renamed Motoori Shrine in 1930 and MotooriNorinaga no Miya in 1995.
Bonfires are lit from New Year's Eve through the first three days of the year.
Since Norinaga loved cherry blossoms, you can also buy amulets with cherry blossom motifs.
