Play Park for the Aged Okayama/Mie Tour Double-feature performance of "High School for the Elderly" and "Iza Yukan" Oino Play Park Okayama Mie Tour Roujin High School Iza Yukan Nihon Honda Tekouen
Date: March 9th (Sat) and 10th (Sun), 2024
A theatrical production that will make aging fun, created by Naoki Sugawara of OiBokkeShi and seniors from Okayama and Mie.
"Aging Play Park" was formed in 2018 by Mie Prefecture's seniors, caregivers, and people with dementia. Together with Naoki Sugawara (actor and care worker, director of OiBokkeShi, Aging and Theater), who has been featured on the front page of Asahi Shimbun's ``Front Runner'', we have been presenting theatrical works that make aging fun. And this year, the initiative is finally moving to Okayama! A new Okayama version of the play park for the elderly has been created at the Okayama Art Creation Theater Hallenowa, which will open in 2023. Furthermore, in March 2024, a joint performance by members from Mie and Okayama is scheduled to be held. ``Elderly High School,'' a youth group drama about the residents that takes place in a nursing home repurposed from a closed school, and ``Iza Yukan,'' an at-home action adventure that tells the story of the world as seen by a grandmother with dementia. (New product) will be delivered to you.
