Start cycling now! That's where I want to go, but before I leave, there's one thing I have to do.
When you think of Toba, you think of oysters! If you come all the way to Toba, you can't help but try it.

The one I always use is "The Kaiya".
The fresh oysters from Toba that are grilled on the spot are large and delicious!
I also love the personality of the store staff who always make me feel welcome.

Today, I had it sprinkled with lemon.

After all, it's delicious no matter when you eat it! The bodyis so plump, it's the best!

When it was time to leave, the shop staff saw me off outside the shop.
``The weather is nice today, so you might be able to see Mt. Fuji from the observation deck.'' We also got some great information!

I want to leave with both my stomach and my heart satisfied!

Instagrammable! Heart TOBA Monument

First, we took a photo to commemorate our departure.I came to TobaAquarium, the ruins of Toba Castle, on a hill right in front of Toba Aquarium.Located at an altitude of 40m, not only can you enjoy a panoramic view of Toba Bay, but the Heart TOBA Monument is also a popular photo spot.

Please come and visit us!

Lots of sights to see! Cycling along National Route 42♪

When you enter National Route 42, you can see "MikimotoPearlIsland" on the sea side.

At this facility, you can not only purchase pearl jewelry, but also learn about the history of pearl farming and Ama divers.

Just the other day, I went to "MikimotoPearlIsland" for a photo shoot as a PR ambassador for Mie Prefecture, soplease check outmy Instagram to see what happened there.

I was surprised and moved by how many people go through the process of creating beautiful jewelry!

As we continued on after leaving MikimotoPearlIsland, we saw a park on our left.

TobaCity 's Forest Park, commonly known as "Gulliver Park". In fact, this parkis home to Gulliver, the famous protagonist of the picture book ``Gulliver's Travels.''A slightly unique photo spot! ? So, be sure to take some unique photos!

*Photos are from another day.

Entrance to Pearl Road - Aso no Ura Ohashi Bridge

After a while after passing TobaCity-no-Mori Park, you will enter a mountain path.

There are many ups and downs, butthe ocean view is always spreading out to your left, making you want to stop and take photos.

As you continue along the road, you will see the arch-shaped pure white Aso-no-Ura Ohashi Bridge. From here, Pearl Road (Prefectural Road No. 128) finally begins!

There are many oyster huts along Pearl Road, and during the season it is crowded with cars and motorbikes.
Even though I just ate it, it smells delicious and I can't help but be drawn to it.

*For information on oyster huts, you can also check out this article ↓
TobaCity Delicious all-you-can-eat oysters shop (hut) 2021-2022 version! Introducing it with a map!

In fact, Pearl Road was a toll roaduntil 2006, but now the entire line is free.
It has become a popular course not only for driving cars and motorcycles, but also for road bikes, and we saw many people riding road bikes besides us.

*Once you enter Pearl Road, there are no convenience stores or other shops. We recommend preparing food and water in advance. There is also a lot of traffic, so you need to be very careful when driving.

Great panorama of sky and sea ~ TobaObservatory ~

After climbing the mountain path for about 7.5km from Aso-no-Ura Ohashi Bridge, you will finally arrive at TobaObservatory!

You can see the blue sky spreading out in front of you, the horizon stretching forever, and the Shima Peninsula, one of Japan's representative ria coasts.

The sky, the sea, the mountains, everything was spectacular!

The road was a lot of climbs, but I felt a sense of accomplishment when I saw this view! ! I'm glad I came up. Before I knew it, I had gained 750m of altitude.

At the light meal restaurant at TobaObservatory, try "Toburger" with Ise lobster croquette.Justcame!

When I took a bite, the flavor of the shrimp filled my mouth and it was delicious.

Now that I've had a break, I'd like to head home.

I could continue towards Shima via Pearl Road, but this time I would like to return the same way I went there.Although we took the same route as going there, the sky and sea in Toba looked beautiful in the sunset, and had a completely different look than when we arrived.

Go this timeI didn't see it, but I'm sure there are spectacular views extending to the Shima area as well! Next time, I would like to try the course from TobaObservatory towards Shima!

in conclusion

Enjoy the hill climb from Toba Station to TobaObservatory along Pearl RoadThat's all for the article.
