Tamaru Shrine

Tamaru Shrine (Tamaru Shrine) is located in Shimotanabe, TamakiTown, very close to the ruins of Tamaru Castle, the symbol of TamakiTown.

Twenty deities, including Sugawara no Michizane, are enshrined within the shrine grounds, and it is said that they will be blessed with academic success, warding off misfortune, and healing from illness.

In front of the main shrine, there is a sacred cypress kounogi that pierces through the heavens and earth, and in ancient times, the enoki kounogi was also used as the god of agriculture to pray for rain and for the rain to stop.

The ``Wishing Nade Cow'' near the main shrine is said to bring about academic improvement, physical health, and Takamasa's wishes for family fortune, and you can pray for good fortune by stroking it. Disinfectants are installed in front of the cows, so they are perfect for preventing infectious diseases.

This cow has been a messenger of Tenjin since ancient times, and carries people's wishes to Tenjin.

It is said that there is a custom of praying by stroking the ``Wishing Nade Cow'' distributed at the shrine office every day, and once the prayer is fulfilled, it is returned to the shrine as a thank you.

Near the ``Wishing Nade Ushi'' there is a Fudezuka, which is said to bring blessings for academic achievement and improvement in calligraphy.

You can pray for pencils that have gotten smaller or brushes that are damaged and can no longer be used to write by storing them in the box provided as a token of gratitude.

There are also blessing spots near the shrine office, including a ``purification stone'' that can be stroked to exorcise impurities, and a ``tamaru stone'' that will bring you good fortune if you place a prayer skewer with your wishes on it.

Prayer skewers made of tamarishi are distributed at the shrine office, and the first fruit fee is 500 yen.

We also distribute goshuin stamps and amulets at the shrine office.

After visiting Tamaru Shrine, how about sightseeing at the Tamaru Castle ruins? The existing stone walls convey the grandeur of the time, and the castle ruins have been maintained as a park.

The area near the castle tower of the castle ruins is a spectacular view point that overlooks TamakiTown! From April to May, the rice fields are filled with water, so you might be able to see the magical sight of the blue sky and sunset reflected on the water surface.

Sachi Shrine

Koujinja Shrine is located in Sekiyara, Tamaki TamakiTown, about a minute's drive from ASPIATamaki a complex with a direct sales store and hot springs.

As a rare shrine with the word ``success'' in its name, many people visit this shrine in search of happiness, and it is said to be blessed with blessings such as childbirth, safe childbirth, and prayers for warding off evil spirits.

Sachi Shrine is located on a small hill surrounded by forest, and both sides of the stone steps are lined with trees that are hundreds of years old.

There are two large trees that grow straight in front of the shrine building, and their towering appearance as if protecting the building gives it a sacred atmosphere.

The ``Okorigami'' in the shrine grounds is said to be beneficial for children's convulsions and fevers, and is a place that many people visit to pray for their children's growth.

The history of Saiwai Shrine dates back about 300 years, and it is said that it began when a shrine was enshrined under an old cypress tree as the god Sarutahiko, and the votive tablets depict a monkey and its child.

On the day of the interview, I spoke to a worshiper who was here praying for a safe birth, and he said that the baby was delivered immediately after praying. It is customary to pray here for a safe delivery after giving birth.

At the shrine office, charms for praying for a safe birth and for conceiving children are distributed, but since there is no one there, you must deposit the firstfruits money in a designated area and pick it up yourself.

The goshuin will be handled by a note or by the chief priest over the phone.

Togai Shirota Shrine

Higashi Toshirota Shrine (Higashi Toshirota Shrine) is located in Kasino, TamakiTown, next to Soto Shiroda Elementary School.

There are many torii gates lined up along the approach that surrounds the main shrine, and as you enter the forest, there is a mystical atmosphere.

After walking for about 3 minutes from the entrance of the approach, you will arrive at the main shrine, where various events are held throughout the year, such as the coming-of-age festival, summer festival, and regular festival.

The god of matchmaking is enshrined near the main shrine, and it is revered as the shrine of matchmaking in TamakiTown. If you are looking for marriage or a lover, your wish may come true quickly if you visit here.

Charms for warding off evil spirits, good health, and academic success are distributed at the shrine office, but since it is unattended, the first fruits must be placed in a designated place and picked up in person.

The method of receiving the goshuin is the same as at Saiwai Shrine, and the chief priest will take care of it for you either by leaving it in writing or over the phone.
