Azurihama (Azurihama) in ShimaCity is a little-known beach with outstanding clarity! There are cafes, campgrounds, and inns nearby, and it's also a place where you can see beautiful sunsets and starry skies. We will introduce the charm of Azurihama in detail.
Mie photographer ``Fugamaru-chan'' and his partner ``Cham'' bring you information that will make you love Mie even more. This time, the theme is "Azurihama (Azurihama)".

What is Azurihama?
Azurihama (Azurihama) is a shallow white sand beach located in Koshiga, Shimacho, ShimaCity, and is crowded with bathers in the summer.
The total length of the beach is about 200 meters, and the water is so transparent that you can see the entire ocean floor.
Even though Goza Shirahama Beach, which is right next to FugamaruGozaShirahamaBeach is full of beachgoers, this place is often relatively empty, so it's a hidden gem!
There is a stylish cafe called ``Cloud 1 Dining Enishi'' adjacent to Azurihama, so you can enjoy lunch while looking out at the ocean.
I will introduce the lunch menu of this restaurant in the middle of theChamu article ♫
Additionally, there is Shima Auto Campground, which is a 5-minute walk from Azuri Beach, where you can enjoy camping by the sea.
You can also stay in a bungalow here and enjoy glamping, which is trending right now.
A deserted island that looks like Godzilla
In the center of the beach is an uninhabited island called Suzumejima, which is characterized by a silhouette that looks like the profile of the monster Godzilla.
In winter, there are times when the sunset on Suzume Island overlaps with the sunset on Suzume Island, and you may even see a sight that looks like Godzilla taking the sunset into its mouth!
In this article, we will fully explain the charm of Azurihama.
Parking lot/access method
Azurihama's parking lot is located right next to the beach and has public restrooms.
You can park here for free, but please note that there are only 3 spaces available.
Please see below for details on nearby paid parking lots.
About the sea opening season and beach huts
There are no opening dates at Azurihama, so you can swim freely.
However, please note that unlike other beaches, there are no lifeguards or beach huts.
If you would like to take a shower after swimming in the sea, we recommend the nearest accommodation facility, Shima Kirakuso.
During the season (July-August), you can use the on-site parking lot for 1,000 yen per car per day, and it is conveniently located just a 1-minute walk from Azuri Beach.
There are changing rooms and shower facilities in the parking lot, which parking lot users can use for free. *There is a charge for hot showers.
You can stay in bungalows at Shima Kirakuso, and there are even bungalows where you can stay with your pet.
You can rent a BBQ set, so you can have fun just like camping.
Furthermore, you can rent parasols and floats, so it's like a beach house.
If you want to enjoy swimming at Azuri Beach, please use the Shima Kirakuso parking lot instead of parking on the street nearby.
Please see the official website for Shima Kirakuso's accommodation rates.
Cloud 1 Dining Enishi (Cafe)
Adjacent to Azurihama is a cafe called "Cloud 1 Dining Enishi", which is open for lunch from 11:00 to 15:00 (LO 14:00) and closed on Wednesdays.
The interior of the store has a wood grain interior, creating a stylish and calm atmosphere. *The photo was taken in February 2019.
What's unique about this place is that you can enjoy lunch made with ingredients that are produced by local fishermen, farmers, and other producers.
On the blackboard labeled ``Today's Lunch,'' there was a menu full of dishes made with ingredients from producers, including pasta, doria, curry, and plate dishes.
The word "en" in the name of Chamustore seems to have the meaning of "connection between producers and customers" ♫
Cloud 1 plate lunch
My recommendation is the "Cloud 1 Plate Lunch (1,400 yen)" from today's lunch menu.
This menu is a plate where you can enjoy dishes made with local, seasonal ingredients.
*Cloud 1 plate lunch contents change depending on the season. The photo is from my visit in February 2019.
You can check what food is on your plate by looking at the "Today's Cloud 1 Plate Lunch" blackboard.
On this day, there was a lineup of dishes using Toba's specialty "Uramura oysters" ♫
I visited in early February, so it was the peak season for oysters!
This is today's "Cloud 1 plate lunch" that I ordered at that time.
The round plate is filled with side dishes, rice, and miso soup, and for 1,400 yen, it's more than the price!
There was a quiche made with Uramura oysters from Toba, fried chicken, and oysters pickled in olive oil, so you could enjoy oyster dishes to your heart's content♫
It was my first time having an oyster quiche, and it was delicious and I could really taste the flavor of the oysters.
The location was also great, as you could see Azurihama from the inside.
The latest business information for "Cloud 1 Dining Enishi" can be found on the official Instagram and official Facebook.
The parking lot is in front of the store and can accommodate 20 cars.
Please enjoy a delicious lunch while looking out at the sea with your family, friends, and loved ones ♫
Shima auto campsite
Shima Auto Campground is located a 5-minute walk from Azuri Beach, and you can enjoy camping on a hill overlooking Azuri Beach.
Not only can you enjoy car camping, but you can also stay in a bungalow, so you can easily enjoy the outdoors.
Auto campsite equipment
There are three auto camp sites at Shima Auto Campsite, A, B, and P, and the characteristics of each site are as follows.
・Site A (15 sections): AC power available ・Pets allowed
・B site (21 sections): AC power available ・Pets not allowed
・P site (10 sections): No AC power ・Pets allowed
There are sites that allow pets, so you can enjoy camping with your dog.
To prevent trouble, dogs must be kept on a leash.
Business period/reservation method
Shima Auto Campsite is open all year round, and reservations can be made through the official website or by calling 0599-85-6500.
There may be temporary closures, so please check the official website for the latest business information.
*Please call between 10:00 and 17:00.
When the sun sets on Suzushima
The sunset on Suzushima is during the winter season from January to February.
The above photo was taken on January 31, 2021, and the sunset was captured at 17:03.
The shooting location is near the terrace of "Cloud 1 Dining Enishi".
If you observe it from a distance, it looks like Godzilla is breathing fire, which is interesting.
It was heartwarming to see a child near Chamulook surprised and say, ``There's a monster over there!''
Nearby tourist attractions
From here, we will introduce tourist spots around Azurihama. Please use this information to plan your trip to Ise-Shima.
GozaShirahamaBeach
GozaShirahamaBeach which I briefly introduced at the beginning, is a beach in ShimaCity that boasts outstanding clarity.
This place is about 5 minutes by car from Azuri Beach, and is crowded with many people during the swimming season.
The clear, emerald green sea is breathtakingly beautiful...Did you know that Mie Prefecture has such a beautiful sea?
When the sea opens, my standard itinerary is to go to GozaShirahamaBeach and Azuri Beach.
In the summer, you can watch the sunset over the sea, so it's very romantic ♫
There are plenty of beach huts and accommodations, so if you plan on spending two days and one night, you can enjoy a leisurely swim in the sea.

Daiosaki Lighthouse
Daiosaki Lighthouse is a chalk lighthouse located in Daio-cho ShimaCity City, about 20 minutes by car from Azuri Beach.
This lighthouse has been certified as one of Japan's top 50 lighthouses, and you can even go inside and take a tour.
*The above photo was taken from Yahata-san Park near the lighthouse.
Not only can you tour the inside of the lighthouse, but you can also climb to the top, and the observation area is a spot with a spectacular ocean view!
Looking out over the town from the observation area, you can see the unique atmosphere of a fishing town.
The interior of the lighthouse is a museum, with materials on display to learn about the history and structure of the Daiosaki Lighthouse.
If you pay a donation of 300 yen at the counter at the lighthouse, you can tour the inside of the lighthouse. Visiting hours are from 9:00 to 16:00.
Please use the paid parking lot (300-500 yen) near the lighthouse.

Tomoyama Park
Tomoyama Park is a park in ShimaCity that overlooks Ago Bay on the Rias Coast, and is approximately 20 minutes by car from Azuri Beach.
This location is surrounded by Ago Bay on three sides, so you can see Ago Bay up close from the Kirigaki Observation Deck on the premises.
Kirigaki Observation Deck is a place where you can see the sunset all year round, so after enjoying sightseeing at Azuri Beach and its surrounding spots, we recommend taking a course where you can watch the sunset before heading home.
The parking lot is right near the observation deck, so if it's chilly, you can enjoy the view from inside your car ♫

What did you think
We have delivered plenty of charm of Azurihama and surrounding spots.
I haven't seen it yet, but apparently the starry sky seen from here is extremely beautiful.
In the summer, many photographers visit this spot to take pictures of the Milky Way.
When stargazing, I recommend staying at the nearest Shima Kirakuso or Shima Auto Campsite and enjoying it slowly.
Until the end Thank you for reading.
