anori Lighthouse is a lighthouse built on anori Anori in ShimaCity, and the observation area offers a spectacular ocean view! What is anori Lighthouse?
anori Saki Lighthouse (anori Lighthouse) is a lighthouse located in anori, Ago-cho ShimaCity, and is distinctive for its square shape.
It is located on anori anori, famous for its oyster farming, and is surrounded by the beautiful blue ocean.
Cape Fugamaruanori is a cape located at the entrance to Matoya Bay, a good port that cuts deep into the center of the Shima Peninsula from the east.
From ancienttimes, anori, Daiozaki, and Yoroizaki were called Shima Misaki, and it was known as a difficult place in the sea because of the many reefs around it.
It was originally a wooden lighthouse!
anori Lighthouse was lit for the first time on April 1, 1873, making it the 20th lighthouse in Japan to be completed.
When it was first constructed, it was a wooden octagon and was lit by oil lamps, and the designer was R.H. Blanton, known as the "Father of Lighthouses."
The photo above is a 1/3 scale model of the wooden anori Lighthouse, which is on display at the nearby anori Lighthouse Museum.
Fugamarudesigned more than 20 lighthouses in Japan, including the Sugashima Lighthouse in TobaCity.
The current Anorisaki Lighthouse in Chamuanori approximately 15m high and is made of reinforced concrete and is designated as a registered tangible cultural property of the country.
History of anori Lighthouse
One of the 16 lighthouses in the country that you can climb
anori Lighthouse is a sightseeing lighthouse that you can go inside and take a look at, and you can access the top by climbing the stairs.
The observation area at the top has a 360-degree panoramic view, with a spectacular ocean view overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Matoya Bay!
With anori Anori Garden in the center as the border, the ocean on the left is the Pacific Ocean, and the ocean on the right is Matoya Bay.
On sunny days with calm waves, you can even see the beautiful blue ocean! In addition, you can even see Ama divers fishing.
If you bend down a little and look at the sea through the handrail...the clarity will remind you of the sea in Okinawa!
The fence is well-built, so even people with children can enjoy the park with peace of mind.

Stylish cafe and lawn area
The anori Anori Garden, located in front of the anori Saki Lighthouse, has a vast lawn and a ``Lighthouse Cafe'' inside the park.
At the lighthouse cafe, you can enjoy delicious gourmet food made with dried sweet potatoes called Kinko-imo, and it's a place that's been attracting a lot of attention right now, as it's been featured on TV and in magazines.

Parking location
We will introduce two free parking lots that are convenient for accessing anori Lighthouse.
anori Misaki Park Parking Lot
The parking lot at anori Anori Park is just a few minutes walk from the lighthouse and can accommodate about 20 cars.
There is also a barrier-free parking space here, with two thoughtful parking bays.
Furthermore, the environment has been improved considerably, with a cycle space where you can park your bicycle.
The building you can see in the back of the photo above is the lighthouse cafe, and it's conveniently located so you can go straight to the cafe after parking.
There is a ramp along the path to the lighthouse cafe, so even those in wheelchairs can enjoy their meals inside.
The photo above shows the path that leads into the store from the toilet side, and when the lighthouse cafe is closed, only the toilet can be used.
Please note that the road to the Fugamaruparking lot is narrow in places, making it difficult for medium-sized vehicles such as Hiace cars to pass.
If you are travelingwith a medium to large vehicle, please use the "Large Vehicle Parking Lot" introduced below.
Large vehicle parking lot
The large vehicle parking lot in anori area allows large vehicles such as microbuses to park for free.
The area is large enough to park about 10 light cars, and it is about a 15-minute walk from here to the lighthouse.
If the parking lot at anori Park is full, do not park on the street nearby, but instead use the large vehicle parking lot.
On the way, we walked along the seaside and along alleys lined with private houses, but it was nice to be immersed in a somewhat nostalgic feeling ♫
For those who want to enjoy the leisurely time of anoriFugamaru Anori district, we recommend a course that takes you on foot from the large car parking lot.
Please note that there are anoriChamu public toilets until Cape Anori Park.
Lighthouse tour fee
You can tour the lighthouse by paying a donation of 300 yen at the lighthouse counter, and it is free for elementary school students and younger.
Business hours are from 9:00 to 16:00, and viewing is possible until 16:30 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Commemorative goods were also sold at the counter, including straps with the anori Lighthouse floating in 3D.
The straps come in three different colors, so if you're coming on a date, why not get a pair? I think it's the perfect souvenir to commemorate your trip.
The lighthouse is located just outside the window, and the surrounding area is a scenic spot overlooking the ocean!
The place felt so close to the sea that you could hear the sound of waves echoing in your ears from under the fence.
The stairs inside the lighthouse have landings here and there, so I think it's a relatively easy lighthouse to climb.
There are 42 steps to the top, and the walls are decorated with photos and historical documents of the lighthouse.
Ueda Shoten Lighthouse Cafe
Lighthouse Cafe, located a few minutes walk from anori Lighthouse, opened in December 2020.
Ueda Shoten, the company that operates the Lighthouse Café, has its own farm in ShimaCity and is a company that produces dried sweet potatoes called ``Kinkoimo'', which are made using the ``Nikiri dried sweet potato method'' that has been passed down in this region.
Kinkoimo is a local specialty that has been loved by divers and fishermen for a long time as a source of nutrition, and you can purchase kinkokoimo as souvenirs at the lighthouse cafe.
Ueda Shoten's Kinkoimo is packed with the elegant aroma and sweetness of sweet potatoes, and its texture is soft and chewy.
You can order it online from Ueda Shoten's official website, but as of the time of publication (7/1), it is sold out. The start of reservations will be announced on Ueda Shoten's official LINE.
Kinkoimo's product lineup includes not only dried sweet potatoes, but also mousse pudding, monaka, roll cakes, and more.
The picture above is sweet potato mousse pudding (plain), a luxurious sweet filled with rare sweet potato and dried sweet potatoes!
Sweets made with dried sweet potatoes are lined up in the store's showcase, and you can also purchase them for takeout.
There are three types of mousse pudding: mango flavor (450 yen), plain flavor (400 yen), and Ise GreenTea (450 yen), all of which look delicious ♫
It even came in 6th place nationwide in Jalan's local pudding ranking.
Lighthouse cafe view
This is the inside of the lighthouse cafe. It is spacious with an atrium and has a stylish atmosphere with the warmth of wood, making it the perfect location for a date ♫
You can enjoy a panoramic view of the ocean and lighthouse from the window, and you can move around the small table freely and relax.
If you'rewondering, "Hey, where's the chair?", there's a spacious two-tiered floor where you can sit. Another stylish feature is that you can take a break in a modern, free style!
There are many table seats, and they are spaced widely apart. You can see Matoya Bay from the window seat, and if the weather is nice, you can even see Mt. Fuji!
Introduction of popular menus
This is the Kinkimo Premium Parfait (970 yen), an exquisite sweet made with luxurious dried sweet potatoes.
The soft serve ice cream has toppings such as "Imo Chips", "Kinko Imo Chocolate", and "Kinko Imo no Monaka", and is covered with plenty of rare sweet potato ♫
The most popular menu at the lighthouse cafe is the parfait where you can enjoy Ueda Shoten's Kinkoimo to your heart's content♫
Next up is the "Homemade Curry Plate with Sweet Potato Rice (1,250 yen, single item)."
This plate menu consists of sweet potato rice with sweet potatoes and dried potatoes, served with homemade spice curry and salad.
The homemade spice curry is blended with healthy spices and contains plenty of pork and onions stir-fried using a special method ♫
The flavor I'm curious about is...a curry that perfectly matches the aroma of spices and juicy pork! It went perfectly with the slightly sweet sweet potato rice ♫
The Fugamaru steamedsweet potato had a very soft texture and a gentle sweetness that was irresistible.
Lighthouse Cafe business information
Lighthouse Cafe's business hours are 10:00 to 16:00 on weekdays, 9:30 to 16:00 on weekends and holidays, and will be open all year round from April 1, 2022.
It tends to get crowded on weekends and holidays, so if you want to avoid the crowds, we recommend visiting early in the morning or on weekdays.
At the entrance of the store, you can rent play equipment for free, including volleyball, hula hoop, badminton, and children's golf sets.
anori Anori Park has a spacious lawn area, so after enjoying your meal at the lighthouse cafe, why not get some exercise on the playground equipment?
