What is Sobun's bamboo light?

``Sobun no Bamboo Akari'' is an event held at the Mie Prefectural Cultural Center where you can admire bamboo lights. Bamboo lights floating dimly on autumn nights create a fantastical scene, and have become a popular event in recent years.

2022 will be the 6th year of “Sobun no Bamboo Akari”. This year's theme is "Heaven and Earth Connected."

Our activities are based on the philosophy of ``Cutting bamboo from dilapidated bamboo forests and breathing life back into them as bamboo lights.We will create a prosperous society through bamboo lights, which have the power to connect people and places.'' canaarea will be in charge of production and direction.

The exhibition venue will be the ``Festival Plaza,'' just like last year. You can view it not only from the front, but also from various areas, such as from the second floor corridor.

2022's "Sobun no Bamboo Light" will take on the challenge of new expressions with a completely new visual theme, with the theme of the fusion of heaven and earth.

Soubun's bamboo lights are created over time by Soubun's staff and canaarea, working together under the supervision of Mr. Kawabuchi.

This year, they are creating an object that will be appearing for the first time through repeated trials with Sobun staff and canaarea.

canaarea representative Kohei Kawabuchi


Born in Nara Prefecture in 1985. Lives in IgaCity Prefecture.

It decorated the venue at the "IseShimaSummit" held in May 2016.

In December 2017, he was selected for the "Japan-Taiwan Artist Exchange Project" sponsored by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Taitung County Government, which aims to stay in Taitung Prefecture, Taiwan and engage in artistic exchange. conduct.

In 2022, “Sobun no Takeakari” will feature live performances and a closing live performance. Enjoy the bamboo lights while listening to live music.

Kijiha live performance

Kijihasan's live performance, which marked the finale of last year's "Sobun no Takeakari", will be held again this year. The range of expression, including guitar playing, band style, and electric sounds, is diverse and captivates listeners.

Jiroeux Closing Live

The period from November 12th to 25th every year is the ``Movement to Eliminate Violence Against Women''. At Sobun Takeakari, we will carry out a collaborative light-up in purple, the symbol color of this movement. It creates an attractive space that is different from bamboo light.
