Get to Mie Prefecture in as little as 45 minutes! TsuAirportLine from Chubu Centrair International Airport

I think many people use the train to get to Mie Prefecture after arriving at Chubu Centrair International Airport by plane, but you can actually use a high-speed boat! In this article, we will introduce how to ride TsuAirportLine, its timetable, fares, and how to get to IseJingu, VISON, etc. after getting off the high-speed boat.

What is TsuAirportLine?

TsuAirportLine is a convenient means of access that connects Chubu Centrair International Airport (Centrair) and Mie Prefecture (TsuNagisamachi) with a boat journey of as little as 45 minutes, and is used by 280,000 people a year.

It is very convenient not only for tourists but also for Mie Prefecture residents when boarding a plane.

This time, I tried using TsuAirportLine with my kids!

There are two high-speed boats: the Phoenix and the Cattleya. The ship we rode on was the Cattleya.

Advantages of using a high-speed boat

Compared to train travel where you transfer to a limited express train at Nagoya Station, you can actually travel faster and cheaper.

You will have to think about how to get there from TsuNagisamachi and the possibility of delays or cancellations due to bad weather, but compared to overland routes such as highways and trains, you will be glad to know that the travel time is faster and the fares are cheaper! If you drive by car, you might worry about traffic jams, but you don't have to worry about that!

TsuAirportLine timetable

Is it comfortable on board?

I know that boats are convenient, but are there any of you who are worried about getting seasick?

When I actually rode it, it was a day without bad weather, but there was almost no shaking, and even though I tend to get sick, I was fine.

However, it will be a 45 minute ride, so if you're worried, it's best to take some motion sickness medicine beforehand!

The high-speed ships of TsuAirportLine are large ships with a capacity of 100 people, so the ship does not seem to shake much due to waves.

The spacious interior of the ship is completely barrier-free and can be used comfortably by both the general public and those in wheelchairs.

The inside of the ship was a spacious space where you could relax.

TsuAirportLine ship is also known as the “Ninja High Speed Boat”!

There were ninja illustrations drawn on the terminal and the hull, so be sure to look for them!

Is it okay to bring children?

I went on board with my 4-year-old and 1-year-old children, and it was their first time on a boat, and they looked out at the sea from the window and seemed to be having fun from beginning to end.

I was worried about getting seasick because it was shaking a bit, but my eldest son, who is 4 years old, seemed to be fine.

There was also a vending machine on board where you could buy drinks.

It is said that it is okay to eat light snacks, so it is a good idea to bring your favorite sweets.

By the way, all seats were non-smoking!

Are pets okay?

I was told that it would be possible for up to medium-sized dogs as long as they were in a cage.

You must notify us when making a reservation online or by phone, or when boarding at the counter.

Some patients may bark or have allergies, so they may be handled in the back of the guest room or outside the guest room.

By the way, birds are not allowed on board.

Worried about delays and cancellations

Lastly, I would like to talk about delays and cancellations on TsuAirportLine.

High-speed boat operations may be delayed or canceled due to bad weather such as typhoons or navigational conditions.

Delay information can be checked on the official website, SNS, contact information of the reservation center, etc.

If you are concerned about delays, please check the latest information and adjust your actions as soon as possible.

In addition, if the delay affects your future plans, such as the possibility that you may miss your flight, please contact the reservation center or airline company to discuss countermeasures.

summary

Even if you have only ever been to Mie Prefecture by train, please take this opportunity to take a relaxing boat trip from Chubu Centrair International Airport to Mie Prefecture!

You can also look at the beautiful scenery while being rocked by the boat, so your travel time will surely be a fun memory!

It is especially recommended for those who want to fully enjoy the atmosphere of the tourist spots and port town around TsuCity.

Additionally, TsuAirportLine actively engages in collaborations and events that take advantage of the region's charms and tourism resources, contributing to the revitalization of the region.

I would like it to be used not only by tourists, but also by locals.

It's also very convenient when there are events or concerts at the Aichi Prefecture International Exhibition Center next to the airport!

It's very convenient because you can walk directly from the port of Chubu Centrair International Airport and board the ship right after the concert!

When I rode, there were people who were not using the airport to participate in the live show.

If you've watched the concert up to the encore and are wondering if you'll be able to catch the last flight, or if you're worried about lining up at the ticket office, we recommend paying online in advance to board the ship!

When considering access to Chubu Centrair International Airport (Centrair) for travel or returning home, please consider the convenient TsuAirportLine.

It's sure to be a comfortable and memorable cruise!
