Mie Prefecture's only maritime athletics that is a hot topic on TV and SNS

Since its grand opening on July 15, 2023, this popular spot has been featured on many information programs and social media. There are more play equipment than last year, and fun events with influencers are held on weekends!

Water athletics is a large playground equipment that floats on the water, and is made up of floats and air-filled objects. There are slides and ZIP LINEs (pulley slides) and more, and there's a lot of fun you'll never have experienced before! We'll bring you a full report of the upgraded facility, including aerial photos, to give you a realistic feel.

We arrived at Gotemba Beach! Go to the left of the brand new sign and turn left on the embankment...

"Gotemba Water Turtle House" is back again this year!

You can see at a glance that it has been scaled up from last year. It is also set up closer to the beach than last year, and there are now floats leading to the playground equipment.

◆Please make sure to complete the check-in process 30 minutes before entry!

First, check in at the office. Reservations on the official website are sure and profitable.

Also, if you are a junior high school student, you will need a written consent form from your guardian, so don't forget to prepare in advance.

For elementary school students and younger, one guardian (20 years or older) is required for every two children.

Children under elementary school age may enter the kids' area free of charge, but each child must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

After checking in, put on your life jacket and listen to the entrance rules explained in front of the facility.

Play equipment with safety measures that Water Kame House is proud of

When it comes to water athletic equipment, the dangerous part is the connection between the play equipment. ``Water Turtle House'' uses play equipment with well-covered joints.

🌀 Overcoming last year's typhoon damage 💪

Last year, Typhoons 6 and 7 caused so much damage to Gotemba Beach that the topography changed, including the Water Turtle House and the surrounding beach houses.

Based on that experience, they have increased the number of fixing devices this year and are putting even more effort into safety management.

BBQ House is next to Kame House. It is a collaboration with Asahi-ya (a famous meat restaurant TsuCity!)

This is a full-fledged BBQ that starts with lighting the charcoal fire.

This time I ordered the meat set (3,500 yen/person)

Enjoying delicious meat while watching the ocean. It was the best♪

Gotemba Beach is a swimming beach, so you can swim there. It's hard to believe that it's only a 15-minute drive from Tsu Station.

・By car: 15 minutes by car from Tsu IC on the Ise Expressway. There is a parking lot nearby with capacity for 2,000 cars.
This year, Kame House has a dedicated parking lot (70 cars)! (1,000 yen/day)

・If using public transport: From JR/Kintetsu Tsu Station bus stop no. 2, head towards Yonezu, Tenpaku, Karasu Park or Aeon Mall Tsuminami. Get off at the Gotembaguchi bus stop and walk for 8 minutes.
