Before the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Mito Kawabata, a member of Japan's men's 4x400m relay team, was practicing on this track.Kawabata, who was a teacher at a junior high school in SuzukaCity at the time, said, ``This stadium, which has night game equipment, is helpful because I can practice even at night after work.'' With night game equipmentThe track is a fascinating place for athletes.
The Yokkaichi team practices for the Beautiful Country Ekiden.

Shogo Nakamura, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics men's marathon representative, is also a member of the Yokkaichi team at the 5th Beautiful Country Ekiden held in 2012. After the Tokyo Olympics, Nakamura returned home to train for the Tokyo Marathon, and used this stadium as his base for training. He was giving words of encouragement to the members of the 2023 Bikuni Ekiden Yokkaichi team who were practicing in the park.
General gymnasium
Recommended points for the entrance
In the entrance hall of the gymnasium, autographs and photo panels of Mayu Mukoda, who won the gold medal in the women's wrestling 53kg class at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, are displayed. Also on display are the uniforms of the women's rugby team PEARLS, based in Yokkaichi City YokkaichiCity and the volleyball and basketball players of Viatin Mie.
In addition, you can eat and drink in the entrance hall, and there is Wi-Fi, so some people use it as a resting spot.
Arena where professional matches are held
The arena also hosts Viatin Mie volleyball and basketball games. On public days, you can practice basketball, badminton, etc. on your own for up to 2 hours without making a reservation for 220 yen for adults and 100 yen for junior high school students and younger. YokkaichiCity sports classes are also held in the arena and multipurpose room.
There is also a training room and walking course.
There is a training room at the back of the first floor of the gymnasium where you can do strength training using machines. It is available for 300 yen for adults and 150 yen for junior high school students and younger for up to 2 hours. There is also a free weight area where you can practice weightlifting.
There are no machines for aerobic exercise, so we recommend the walking course (free of charge) on the second floor. It's fully air-conditioned, so you can walk comfortably in all seasons, whether it's hot summer, cold winter, rain, or snow. One lap is 320m, 10 laps is 3.2km. It's perfect for relieving lack of exercise.
You can see the archery range from the walking course. It's fun to see someone hit the target with a sharp and firm expression. The archery range can only be entered by those with a 2nd dan or above, or those accompanied by a 2nd dan or above.
You can also enjoy the view from the rooftop.
Climb the stairs outside the general gymnasium to reach the rooftop "Sky Street" where you can overlook the entire park.
I can go. It can also be used as a viewing space for outdoor facilities.
Pearls players practice on the football field
At the C field of the football field, the women's rugby team "PEARLS" is practicing hard with the catchphrase "From Mie to the world!" At the Rugby World Cup 2021 New Zealand, which was held from October to November 2022, eight of the 32 registered members of the Japan Women's Rugby National Team were Pearls players.
Sakizuki Mitani is from Yokkaichi, and Chuo Ryokuchi Park has been a familiar place for her to play and run since she was a child. When he was in the sixth grade of elementary school, he was selected as a member of the Yokkaichi team for the ``Beautiful Country Mie City Inter-town Ekiden,'' and the selection race was held on the park's trim course, and he says, ``I remember that time vividly.'' He says he goes to the Starbucks near the park parking lot about three times a week.
Trim course where you can walk, run, and walk your dog
The 2000m long trim course is popular with dog walkers, runners, and walkers.
It's also fun to take a quick lap around the football field and watch them practice soccer or rugby.
As the name Central Green Space suggests, this course is easy to use even in the hot summer as there is shade from trees in places.
There is also a signboard with the distance from the start, so you can see how many meters left to complete the lap.
This will give you an estimate of the distance you have walked or run.
There is also play equipment in the middle of the park.
In the middle of the trim course and behind the general gymnasium, there is also play equipment such as complex play equipment and swings. There is also a grassy field next to it where you can take a nap or play catch.
*As of January 19, 2024, the jungle gym has been removed.
``Chuo Ryokuchi Kokoyoka'' with cafes and restaurants
In Kokoyoka Chuo Ryokuchi, there are three stores: ``Starbucks Coffee,'' a soup curry shop ``Park Cafe Terrace,'' and an Italian restaurant ``vansan.'' Fill your stomach here or take a break at the cafe to recharge your energy.
It's close to the parking lot, so you can easily stop by and we highly recommend it!
