Highlights of “Yugen no Bamboo Light”
First, I would like to introduce the highlights of ``Yugen no Bamboo Light.''
Although this event is held every year, the bamboo light layout is not exactly the same every year. You can also enjoy the illuminations of Reijaki Falls and Fudo Falls, which cannot be seen during the day! You can enjoy it with your family, couple, or even alone ☆
More than 2000 bamboo lights of various sizes decorate the valley
Every year, a bamboo light-up event is held at TheAkame48Falls from autumn to winter.
As you enter the valley, you will be greeted by beautiful bamboo lights.
In 2021 and 2022, round bamboo lights were installed around Gyoja Falls near the entrance.
The way it sometimes sways in the wind is like an invitation to a mysterious world.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this year's bamboo lights will be displayed!
Fudo Falls is the main area from TheAkame48Falls entrance.
If you go up the stairs in the upper left, you will arrive at Fudo Falls, the last stop of the illumination!
On the left before the stairs is Reija Falls, which is also lit up.
When snow accumulates in the valley, the atmosphere changes.
The collaboration of bamboo light and snow is rare and valuable even in Mie Prefecture!
Also pay attention to the bamboo pattern ☆
When you look at the bamboo lights one by one... there is a bamboo with the ``Pien'' emoji designed on it!
I found this Pien bamboo light during the 2021 event. There were also designs of Princess Kaguya and dragonflies♪
Actually, it's not only within the valley of TheAkame48Falls! ?
The ``Yugen Bamboo Light'' is displayed not only in the main area of TheAkame48Falls, but also in the forest area (sub-area).
・Forest area... From the small park to TheAkame48Falls entrance
The bamboo lights illuminated the autumn leaves and it was very magical!
How far do you walk? Isn't it tiring?
When you hear about TheAkame48Falls, some people may think, ``That's a lot of walking, right?'' or ``It seems like it's going to be a pain to walk.''
In fact, the only part of the valley that is illuminated is Fudo Falls, which is about a 6-minute walk from the entrance!
There are almost no ups and downs up to the stairs in front of Fudo Falls, and the path is paved and easy to walk, so even those who are not confident in their physical strength or are not good at hiking will arrive there in no time.
Clothes and recommended things to bring
It can get very cold in the valley from evening to night, so be sure to wear a coat or jumper to protect yourself from the cold.
Especially after December, it may snow, so it's even better to have a scarf, knit hat, earmuffs, and gloves.
I keep a warmer in my coat pocket and wear thick tights!
We recommend non-slip sneakers or boots.
On snowy days, it's safe to have simple crampons that can be attached to your shoes.
Let's enjoy it with a spirit of mutual trust♪
There are paved roads inside TheAkame48Falls Valley, but as you can see, there are also narrow roads.
-
The use of tripods is permitted when taking photos, but their use on narrow roads like this will obstruct traffic, so refrain from using them when there are many people passing by, and always give priority to pedestrians. let's.
- Please do not enter the river, as it is very dangerous and may damage your work.
- I think there are some people who want to take pictures of the same place. Let's compromise and enjoy the bamboo light.
- Drone photography is strictly prohibited within the valley.
Dogs are also allowed to enter.
[Dogs are welcome to enter as long as you follow the rules below! ]
- The Akame Valley is home to the giant salamander, a special natural monument, and valuable plants.
From a pet protection standpoint, be sure to properly dispose of your pet's feces and urine and take the excrement home with you.
We recommend using pet diapers or manner bands. - Be sure to wear a leash (please keep the leash short)
Entry into the mountain without a leash is prohibited. - Please use a carry bag or backpack upstream from Senju Falls.
*Excludes guide dogs and service dogs.

Taki Sake Store/Paid parking lot
The parking lot of Taki Saketen has a toilet and is close to the entrance of TheAkame48Falls, so I recommend it.
Where is the toilet?
There is a restroom near TheAkame48Falls Falls, which is about a 15-minute walk from the entrance to the Akame Shijuhachi Falls Valley, but when it's lit up, you can only go as far as Fudo Falls, which is closer to the entrance.
