Is this Mie Prefecture?! I discovered the stylish and comfortable beach house APOA! I was so satisfied with the resort atmosphere at Gotemba Beach!

In my own mind, the image of beach huts in Mie Prefecture is of straw mats laid out where you can eat hearty yakisoba and yakisoba noodles, but there is a beach hut on Gotemba TsuCity in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, where you can enjoy a resort-like atmosphere with stylish chairs and drinks.

APOA: A beach house with a resort feel

The beach house APOA is located on Gotemba TsuCity in Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, and is open every year from April to September.

Don't you think that the exterior is already full of style?

There are several beach huts on Gotemba Beach, but all of them charge the same seating fee of 700 yen for adults and 500 yen for children.

There are some restaurants that have the feel of the "typical beach house" that I imagine, but Beach House APOA is an extremely stylish beach house that gives you the feeling of a tropical resort.

A wide variety of seating options

There is a greater variety of seating options than at other restaurants, and the terrace has shady table seats, hanging chairs, and swings.

As you can see in the previous photo, there are also mini dome seats and reclining chairs, so you might have trouble deciding where to sit.

Generally, you are assigned a fixed seat and cannot move from it, but when there are few customers you may be allowed to move as a service.

Despite my age, I had a blast on the swings.

Paid seats are even more comfortable

There are two types of paid seating available: a dome-shaped seat and an oval seat. These are shady and comfortable as the sea breeze flows in through the gaps like an air conditioner.

The dome is large enough to comfortably accommodate six adults, while the oval seat is large enough to accommodate about four adults.

The usage fees are as follows, and there is a 700 yen seating charge, so when you consider that it's an additional 300 yen per person, I feel that it's a good deal considering the comfort, privacy, and stylishness.

Domed seat
1 seat from ¥3,000 (up to 3 people)
If there are 4 or more people using the room, there will be an additional charge for each additional person. Junior high school students and older: +900 yen 3 years old and over: +700 yen
Oval Sheet
1 seat from ¥2,000 (up to 2 people)
If three or more people use the room, an additional fee will be charged for each additional person. Junior high school students and older: +900 yen Three years old and older: +700 yen

You can reserve both regular seats and paid seats, so it's a good idea to make a reservation during the swimming season.

A wide variety of menus

There is also a wide selection of food, drink and dessert menus.

Aside from the standard yakisoba, there are also a variety of side dishes such as pasta, Ise One waffle burgers, blue Gotemba shellfish rice curry (blue curry), french fries, and edamame, so you'll have fun deciding what to order.

Feel the sun with a bottled drink

Hot summer! A refreshing drink is a must at the beach!

The drinks available included bottled drinks that are sure to look great (see first photo), as well as the classic cola and coffee. This time I went for a bottled drink to fully enjoy the sea and the photogenic scenery.
If you sit here swaying in a hanging chair while looking out at the sea and have a drink in hand, you'll feel like you're at a resort.

Even regular drinks are cute

The regular drinks come in pineapple containers, giving you a summery feeling!

Even just a drink can make you feel like you're at a resort, so you can have fun even during the hot summer!

If you look closely, you'll see a charcoal grill in the middle...
That's right! At the beach house APOA, you can enjoy BBQ without having to bring anything!

A hearty, empty-handed BBQ!

Don't you think having an empty-handed BBQ at a beach house is the best situation?

With beef, pork, vegetables, and shellfish, it's no exaggeration to say that the selection is a "Treasure Box"! The photo shows the chef's choice BBQ, which was introduced this year!
*The photo shows two servings.

According to the owner, there are about eight beach huts on Gotemba Beach, but few of them serve meat, which makes APOA Beach House feel special.

The thrill of eating meat at the sea!

It's an indescribable feeling to be able to enjoy meat in the sea.

The sunlight piercing your skin, the food being grilled right in front of you, and the smell of the salt water floating in from the sea.
It was such a wonderful time that it felt like everything was tap dancing around me!

The toilets and changing rooms are also stylish.

The toilets and changing rooms are also stylish, and although we can't show you inside, they are very clean.

All the beach houses on Gotemba Beach have a common toilet rental fee of 200 yen per visit.

If you are using regular seats or paid seats, you can use the lounge as many times as you like for free, so we recommend the more comfortable paid seats.

Rooms with full air conditioning are also available.

There is a "cool down room."

Anyone using APOA can use it, and there are rooms with full air conditioning to help prevent heatstroke for people who are feeling unwell or who are working.

I was surprised at the thoughtfulness of the beach house to provide such a comfortable room.

The sea at night is also beautiful

How about spending the night by the sea?

The APOA beach house is open at night on some days.

The sea at night has a different, more fantastical atmosphere, making it perfect for people who don't go to the beach because they don't want to get sunburned.
