`` GokatsuraLake Furusato Village'' is located in Taki-cho, Taki-TakiTown. There is a restaurant called `` MagonomiseRestaurant'' run by high school students. Students who belong to the cooking club of oka High School, also located in TakiTown, run the restaurant themselves, and it is only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays when there are no classes.
The magnificent restaurant was completed in 2005. Before that, they operated a small shop here in GokatsuraLake Furusato Village, but TakiTown built this new building in order to provide more support for high school students. The store was designed by students from a local technical high school, and the colorful paintings in front of the store were drawn by local elementary school students.
A few years ago, a drama based on this restaurant was aired, so it is well known nationwide! Not only locals but also many customers from outside the prefecture visit.

A waiting board was set up in front of the store, and customers already in line wrote their names. Before the store opened at 10:30, there were more than 10 groups of customers in line!
Dishes that make use of the best ingredients, such as seasonal fish and vegetables, are popular with people of all ages.
Tamagoyaki with a slight dashi flavor and shigureni, which has a strong seasoning that brings out the flavor of the meat, go perfectly together!
oka High School Cooking Club is particular about using the best dashi stock made from kelp and bonito, and explains how to make the dashi stock. This secret has led to the gentle flavor that is unique to MagonomiseRestaurant.
The high school student restaurant was very popular on this day as well. As the number of meals was limited to 200, they were sold out and closed at around 1pm. I was impressed by the happy faces of the customers as they left the store.

In front of Grandma's shop, there is a fish shop that opens at noon on Saturdays. Fresh seafood caught in Ise-Shima will be sold. It's also great that you can sample the fish!
