A new roller coaster "ARASHI" will be released on March 10, 2017 at Nagashima Spaland, which has one of Japan's most thrilling coasters! Nagashima Spaland has a number of thrilling rides, including the Guinness-certified super coaster "Steel Dragon 2000" and the flying coaster "Acrobat" that debuted in Japan. Is the roller coaster that will appear this time a "4D spin coaster" with completely different movements? You'll definitely be screaming at the unexpected movements! We will also share with you our impressions of Tsu Queen.

A new roller coaster "ARASHI" will be available at Nagashima Spaland, which has one of Japan's most thrilling coasters, starting March 10, 2017! This is a review article based on my impressions after taking a test drive.

Nagashima Spaland has a number of thrilling rides, including the Guinness-certified super coaster "Steel Dragon 2000," Japan's first flying coaster "Acrobat," and Japan's largest wooden coaster "White Cyclone." Is the roller coaster that will appear this time a "4D spin coaster" with completely different movements? You'll definitely be screaming at the unexpected movements!

I came to Nagashima Spaland to experience the 4D spin coaster "ARASHI"! Nagashima Spaland, known as a sacred place for thrilling coasters, just introduced Acrobat, a coaster where you ride face down, in 2015. I'm looking forward to hearing that there will be an even more unpredictable "roller coaster with movements that make the seats spin."

If you are driving, Nagashima Spaland is right next to Wangan nagashima Interchange, if you are using public transportation, it is about 50 minutes by direct bus from Nagoya Station, or if you are coming from Osaka, it is about 20 minutes by Mie Kotsu Bus from JR/Kintetsu Kuwana Station.

This time, we received the cooperation of two 2016 Tsu Queens. When you arrive at the platform, you'll be excited!

“ARASHI” is a 4D spin coaster. What is 4D? You may think so, but it's a roller coaster with no seat controls.

Unlike before, the movements are completely unpredictable! Normally, the layout would be for the rails to lie sideways or rotate 360 degrees, but Arashi's has a strange shape. This vertically stacked shape is the secret to Japan's first storm that overturns common sense and exhibits innovative and unpredictable movements. It features a unique and impressive layout. The vehicle you board is a hanging type! Seats hang next to the rails.

Now, I asked Tsu Queen to ride the Arashi. Please be careful not to drop anything when riding.

So let's watch the video. I attached a camera to my helmet and took this photo, but can you see how it's spinning? Other seats are shown, but their movements are completely different.

*This time we are taking a special photo shoot. Please note that you are not allowed to bring a camera with you on the ride during regular business hours.

Here is a video taken from a distance.
Even if you look at it, you can't predict its movements at all... This is amazing.

Welcome back~

We asked Tsu Queen about her impressions.
``Anyway, the movements are unpredictable, and with previous roller coasters I could predict the next movement, but with the storm, I couldn't predict it at all, and it was thrilling the whole time I was riding! My legs were dangling and it gave me a strange floating feeling. It was fun to feel that!”

"When I was riding it, I couldn't tell which way was up. It was a uniquely fun feeling, like flying in the sky. I want to ride it over and over again!"

Natsumi Kakutani (on the left) isn't very good at screaming machines, but she said she had fun riding them after trying her best, and was on her second ride since then. He seemed to like it!

It was fun to take pictures as it went around and around. The person riding it looked nice.

Of course, it's scary enough even if you look at the videos and photos...

I would like you to ride it and see how powerful it is. Arashi's specifications are that the highest point is 34m, the total track length is 310m, and the riding time is approximately 60 seconds. The maximum speed is 64km/h and the maximum gradient is 90 degrees, but it was a more impressive roller coaster than the specs showed!

This time you can also ride other coasters! So I also rode on the White Cyclone.

This is a classic wooden coaster from Nagashima Spaland.

This is a fun coaster with a unique rattling sensation. The view is great when you get to the top! After that, it's screaming.

In addition to the previous screaming machine, please come and visit Naga Spa, which has been further powered up!
