掲載日:2017.06.10
As we approach summer, there are some landscapes that can be enjoyed on rainy nights. Nowadays, the number of fireflies has decreased and it is rarely seen in cities! At Nabananosato you can safely enjoy watching fireflies from the paved walkway.
*This photo of fireflies was taken using a method called ``comparative brightness compositing'' and differs from what the fireflies actually look like with the naked eye. If you have a single-lens reflex camera or mirrorless camera, you can take photos like this one with a tripod, so give it a try.
Genji firefly (late May to late June)
Heike fireflies (late June to early July)
Time: From around 19:00
Location: 270 Komae, nagashima KuwanaCity Kuwana
Fee: 1,600 yen (planned) Elementary school students and above, free of charge 1,000 yen cash coupon that can be used within the village *Some cannot be used
Parking: Available/Free
Note: Please be careful as it is dark under your feet in the area where the fireflies are.
Crowded: It gets crowded on weekends, so weekdays are recommended.
Tripod: Please refrain from using it when it is crowded.
Up until now, many photos were taken with a tripod and combined on a computer, but with live composite, the trajectory of the fireflies' light is added just by opening the shutter. I was impressed by how convenient it was because I could check it on the monitor at the shooting location. It takes some skill to use, but I don't think it's that difficult.
