There is a farm in the tangerine fields of MihamaTown where you can feed and interact with cute sheep! We will also introduce access details! The children were also very happy! Please come and meet the adorable sheep with your family!

“Sheep Mikan Farm” opened in June of this year in Mihama-MihamaTown.
I went there because I heard that I could touch the cute sheep!

On this day, we departed from Tsu and headed to Shihara, MihamaTown, via Prefectural Route 141 (commonly known as Orange Road), relying on our navigation.

Turn right toward the mountain side, using the telephone pole sign for ``Sheep Mikan Farm'' as a landmark. At the end of the bend is a mandarin orange field as far as the eye can see. MihamaTown, with its warm climate, is famous for its thriving citrus cultivation and is known as a town where you can grow mandarin oranges all year round.

As you continue along the straight road, the road splits into two. If you look closely, you will see a wooden signboard, but on the left is the Sheep Mikan Farm, and on the right is the second parking lot of the Sheep Mikan Farm.

There is parking lot 1 next to the farm at the end of the road on the left, which can accommodate about 10 cars. As long as it's not very crowded, you can park in the first parking lot, so let's take the left road for now!

As we continued along the road, we came across part of a vast ranch! What you can see in the center is a mandarin orange field. You can also see sheep eating the grass that grows thickly around the fields.

Just a little further to the entrance of the farm!

We have finally arrived! The Sheep Orange Farm is a photogenic space that will make you forget that you are in Japan for a moment!

The farm, surrounded by a white fence, is divided into an area with sheep and an area with umbrellas and chairs where you can take a break while watching the sheep.

There it was! ! So many sheep!
21 sheep live on this farm. Everyone was happily eating grass!

Most of the sheep were fluffy, but some had their wool shaved. This farm also sells wool upon request.

This is the owner Mr. and Mrs. Kitami. I was welcomed very warmly.
They are a lovely couple with smiling faces. The couple moved from Iwate Prefecture to open their own ranch, cleared a mandarin orange field that had become a wasteland, and opened this ranch in June 2017.

Some of the mandarin orange fields still remain on the farm, and juice and ice cream are made from the harvested mandarin oranges. That's why it's called "Sheep Mikan Farm"♪

We immediately took a tour of the farm.

First, we experienced feeding sheep.
"Sheep snacks" are sold at the farm for 100 yen. For those who don't feel brave enough to use their hands, we also have a special scoop.

The shovel is safe even for small children.

I immediately tried giving him a snack with a shovel...

A lot of sheep came over right away! !
I will munch on the snacks vigorously. If you bring treats near, many sheep will usually come to you. I'm so happy♪

I was happy for a short time. When he ran out of snacks, he turned away. painful··

But that place is also cute♪

When Mr. Kitami handed out the food, many sheep came to us all at once!

Each of the 21 sheep on the farm has a name, and Mr. Kitami is able to tell them apart.
You can clearly see that he treats the sheep with love.

I was told the names of the sheep, but I could only identify one...

By the way, you can touch and feed the sheep through the net, but please note that we cannot go inside the net.

You can also enjoy drinks and snacks on the farm.

I will order from this wagon.

This is the menu board.
We also have ice cream and juice made with mandarin oranges harvested from the farm's fields.

The mandarin orange juice was so popular that it was sold out on that day. The menu may change depending on the season, so please contact the farm for details.

This is "Shepherd's Pie" from the food menu.
This is a British home-cooked dish made with minced meat topped with mashed potatoes. The sheep-shaped bread is so cute that I took a photo before eating it♪

A set that includes soup, bread, and drink is ¥950 (tax included).

We sat on this colorful chair!
It's a very photogenic landscape. It tastes even better in the fresh air♪ How about relaxing and watching the sheep?

On this day, many families with children came to visit.

The Sheep Mikan Farm in MihamaTown was a cozy place where you could relax and spend time surrounded by a lovely smiling couple and cute sheep ♪ Please come and meet the sheep!
