Michi-no-eki Sekijuku" blends in with the streets of Seki, which still retains the atmosphere of the Edo period Tokaido. Many visitors from far and wide come to this shop to buy souvenirs from all over Mie Prefecture. You can also take home a taste of the local delicacies at Mikura, a set meal restaurant with a great reputation.

Michi-no-eki Sekijuku" blends in with the streets of Seki, which still retains the look of Tokaido from the Edo period.
Many people visit from far and wide, and you can find souvenirs from not only the local area but also from all over Mie Prefecture.

You can enjoy the taste of the famous local gourmet food at the set meal ``Mikura'' and take it home with you!

We will introduce the charms of Michi-no-eki "Sekijuku" in detail!

Along National Route 1, `` Michi-no-eki Sekijuku'' came into view.
Located in the center of KameyamaCity, this is the 47th post town that has continued since the Edo period.
The wooden, tiled Japanese-style architecture blends into the Seki townscape.

Kameyama's local gourmet "Miso Yaki Udon" is 650 yen for a single item, and 800 yen for a set meal. This miso sauce is slightly sweet and spicy with a sharp kick. It mixes well with noodles and goes great with vegetables and meat! The richness of miso spreads in your mouth, giving you a lingering taste.

I happened to hear a man eating miso-yaki udon nearby muttering, "It's delicious! It's delicious." When he finished eating, he went back to the kitchen and said, ``It was delicious. I'll come again.''

"Kameyama Ramen" is 780 yen individually, 900 yen as a set. We won the Grand Prix at the "Local Ramen Grand Prix 2013".
The soup is made with an original blend of special miso and a dashi made from Matsusaka beef bones, making it a refreshing soup that you can fully enjoy the richness and flavor.
It contained a lot of vegetables, including three types of mushrooms, cabbage, carrots, chives, and onions.

Both of Kameyama's noodle menus are exquisite!

Tonteki(PorkSteak)is a specialty of Yokkaichi. It is a popular gourmet dish that can be found not only around Yokkaichi but also in various places within the prefecture.

Cut the large, glove-shaped piece of pork into pieces with a fork and knife, and serve with plenty of sauce.

The pork has a smooth texture and smooth fat. The tonteki sauce is also delicious, and with this sauce you can eat as many shredded cabbage as you want.

`` Michi-no-eki Sekijuku'' specialty ``Tanuki Tawara Nigiri'' (2 pieces) for 200 yen. A beautiful rice ball shaped like a rice ball made with tempura and green onions, seasoned with soy sauce, and wrapped in seaweed.

This rice ball has a perfect balance of seasoning with tempura, green onions, and seaweed! I would love to know the recipe for the combination!

This bright green "Kameyama tea soft serve" costs 350 yen. This is an original soft serve ice cream made with green tea powder.
The smooth texture is followed by the rich aroma of tea.
"Vanilla" and "Mix" are also available.
You can choose your favorite flavor from three types of soft serve ice cream on top of the ``Cream Zenzai'' (430 yen).

Other items available include the 200 yen Ippuku tea confectionery that tastes like grass dumplings, the 350 yen chilled zenzai in the summer, and the 400 yen zenzai in the winter.
In addition, drinks such as ``coffee,'' ``cafe au lait,'' ``Ise Japanese black tea,'' and ``Kameyama tea latte'' are reasonably priced at 200 yen. It can also be used as a cafe with just a drink menu.

All the dishes are really delicious and very satisfying! Many customers leave and say, ``I'll come again.''
The sauces used at Mikura for ``Miso Yaki Udon'' and `` Tonteki(PorkSteak)Set Meal'' can be purchased at the shop.

I don't have time to go to the store often, and I want to feed my family too. At times like this, you can cook delicious dishes if you have the sauce to lean on.

These are "Miso Yaki Udon Sauce" for 617 yen and "Tonteki Sauce" for 463 yen.
If you stir-fry pork belly, cabbage, etc. using ``Miso Yaki Udon Sauce'', it will taste like hot pot meat.
``Tonteki sauce'' goes well with any meat, including pork. You can enjoy the taste of regular meat that has been upgraded to a higher level.
"Baby Star Ramen Kameyama Ramen Flavor" is 500 yen.

There are also ``Miso Yaki Udon'' that come with sauce and noodles for 2 servings for 566 yen and 3 servings for 905 yen.

Speaking of sweets from Seki, Sekinoto To is 500 yen for 6 pieces and 850 yen for 10 pieces.
A bite-sized mochi confectionery made with strained red azuki bean paste wrapped in Gyuhi mochi and sprinkled with Awa specialty "Wasanbon". I think there are many people who have eaten it.
Recently, it has become common to see 600 yen pieces of ``Ocha no Sekinoto no To'' sprinkled with Kameyama tea.

Speaking of `` Sekinoto'', the standard color of the box containing 6 pieces is ``Kuchinashi'', but there is also ``Seasonal Color Box'' where the color of the box changes depending on the season. I had never seen it at any other Michi-no-eki or facility, but as expected, it was located at Michi-no-eki Sekijuku, located in the same area.

From March to May, there is ``Sakura'' (as shown in the photo), from June to August, ``Sora'', from September to November, ``Inaho'', and from December to February, ``Moss''. All colors are gentle and calm. There was also an assortment of 6 pieces of `` Sekinoto'' and 6 pieces of ``Ocha no Sekinoto Seki no To'' for 1,100 yen.

We also carry Kameyama's famous sweets.

"Kamenoo" from Zuihoken is 702 yen for 10 pieces and 1,426 yen for 20 pieces.
210 yen for 2 pieces of Shiradama from Maedaya Seika. 650 yen for 6 pieces, 1,050 yen for 10 pieces.

``Strawberry Daifuku'' from Maedaya Seika, known for its specialty ``Shiradama'' (150 yen). This is a seasonal staple that is sold every year during strawberry season.

There was also a corner for Ise Ise-Udon, a local gourmet dish representing Mie Prefecture. We recommend the "Ise-Udon" for two people, 594 yen with sauce. This is a new kind Ise-Udon that everyone, whether you like Ise Ise-Udon, the average person, or even those who don't, should try it at least once.

``Mochi Mochi Ise-Udon'' (540 yen for 2 servings) is also selling well.

Ise-Udon of thick, soft noodles coated in a sauce made from tamari soy sauce. Simply use green onions, add kamaboko for color, and add eggs to make it mellow.

Once you find your favorite noodles and sauce, enjoy making your own arrangements.

Souvenirs from various parts of the prefecture are lined up.

Ise lobster-flavored rice crackers, Matsusaka beef stew, processed clams and abalone. You can enjoy the taste of Mie, which is rich in the blessings of the sea and mountains.

``Pickled plums'' made from plum fruits grown in Seki start from 300 yen. "Plum jam" is also available for 450 yen.

Local vegetables and fruits are also available. They also carry delicious ingredients from outside the prefecture, and the ``Kyotanba Daikoku Hon Shimeji'' is recommended. It seems that the flavor and texture are very good. Why not add it to one of the main ingredients in yakiniku, barbecue, sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, etc.

There is Ichiro Tominaga's gallery on the second floor. There are about 10 paintings on the wall.
