As you walk from the parking lot, you will see a large torii gate.
Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine is located so close to the sea that it is sprayed by the tide. The day after it rains, a strong sea breeze blows, but on a clear day, the scenery is beautiful with blue skies, the horizon, and the torii gate.

You probably know that when you visit IseJingu, you go from Geku to the Naiku Shrine, but before doing so, it is an ancient custom to perform purification at Tateishi Beach.
This signboard explains this.

Originally, ``kori'' was to soak in seawater to remove dirt from the mind and body and purify oneself, but now people visit Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine here to worship and drink Mukushi-oku (Mukushi-oku) collected from Okitama-jinseki. It is common to have a ritual called Hamasangu, where you purify yourself with a sa).
Let's pray wearing this solid salt grass that can be given at the shrine office.

The first thing that greets you is the ``Mangan Frog'' at the chozuya. It is said that if you sprinkle water on it, your wishes will come true.
In addition to the Chozuya, there are frog figurines scattered throughout the grounds that are said to have been donated one after another by people who visited Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine and received blessings.

A bright green frog. It pokes its head out of the water and stares at me with its large, round black eyes.
It's so cute.

The main hall of Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine. The beautiful green roof is impressive.
``Two bows, two claps, one bow.'' Visitors close their eyes and join hands one after another.

As it is famous for its blessings on matchmaking and marital harmony, there are many lucky charms lined up here.
Why not try wearing matching pairs in different colors with your spouse, fiancée, or partner?
I feel like I'm filled with power just by seeing so many people wishing for love come together.

A small frog and a gold and silver frog to put in your wallet.
It is a travel safety and traffic safety charm for safe hatching. These frogs are considered lucky charms for business prosperity, and would make great souvenirs.

This is a frog fortune teller. Put your hand in the frog's mouth, make a wish, and pull it out.
Is “frog” a good response from God?

After visiting Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine, let's stretch out a little further and visit Ryugu Shrine.
Head across this "Misogi Bridge".

The beach is bathed in sunlight from a clear sky. The scenery is filled with pure air.
Just standing in this place will purify your mind and body.

This is Ryugusha. This shrine is dedicated to Watatsumi Okami, the guardian deity of the sea.
In late June, the Ryugu Shrine Annual Festival (Gochushi) is held to commemorate the tsunami that occurred approximately 200 years ago and to pray for maritime safety.

In the main shrine, there is a pair of guardian frogs, which are not guardian dogs. It's really full of frogs.

At Futamiokitama-JinjaShirine, you can receive two types of goshuincho. The first fruit fee is 1200 yen.
``Sunrise'' is a beautiful gradation of bright vermilion and orange in the morning sky, while ``Full Moon'' is a beautiful deep blue night sky studded with shining stars.
Both are so attractive that it takes a little time to choose one.

I received a stamp.
I was hesitant and chose the full moon stamp book, which had a cute frog embroidered on the back cover.

There is a theory that the goshuin was originally given as a proof that a copy of a sutra was delivered to a temple or shrine.
When I look at it after returning home, I am reminded of the clear feeling I had when I visited the shrine and the wish I had made.

Meoto-iwa is Meotoiwa(rocksofthemarriedcouple) with a large shimenawa rope that is about 35m long.
From May to July, you can see the sunrise between Meotoiwa(rocksofthemarriedcouple). During the winter season, from November to January, you can see a fantastic view of the full moon rising between Meotoiwa(rocksofthemarriedcouple).
It is also recommended to be aware of the phases of the moon when traveling.
It is illuminated at night until 9pm, and you can see a mysterious appearance that is completely different from the one seen during the day.

After visiting the shrine, take a break. You can enjoy soft-serve ice cream made with Iwato Salt at Restaurant Maruhama, which is about a 3-minute walk from the shrine to the parking lot.
The base is vanilla, slightly salty, and not too salty. It had a "salty flavor", but it had a refreshing aftertaste and was very delicious. The price is 350 yen.

This is "Iwato Salt". You can purchase them at an inn called Iwatokan, which is about a 4-minute walk from the shrine.
This delicious salt is carefully made using traditional methods, using only seawater and no additives.
An excellent product that replenishes minerals that tend to be deficient and balances the body. The price is 2,400 yen for 376g (large) and 820 yen for 125g (small).
