Sakakibara Onsen is famous for the fact that Sei Shonagon praised the splendor of this hot spring in his book The Pillow Book. We will introduce the charm and popular meals of "Yumoto Sakakibarakan", the only one in Sakakibara Onsen that has its own hot spring source.

An elegant time spent at an inn surrounded by nature

Sakakibara Onsen has been used as a bathing spot for visitors to IseJingu for about 1,500 years.

It is also known as ``Nanakuri-no-Yu'' because of its place name, and Sei Shonagon praised the splendor of this hot spring in ``The Pillow Book'' during the Heian period.

The hot spring water that gushes out has a moist and enveloping quality.

Yumoto Sakakibarakan is the only hot spring in Sakakibara Onsen that has its own hot spring source, and can be reached in about 30 minutes by car from downtown TsuCity.

This is a large inn consisting of two buildings, ``Flower House'' and ``Yume no Yakata.''

A lobby with a gold folding screen that makes its presence felt.

The items displayed along with the gold folding screens change with the seasons, creating a space that values the sense of the seasons.

“Mellow hot springs” that have healed people since ancient times

The water quality of Sakakibara Onsen is colorless and transparent, and is a simple alkaline spring.

The hot water that is gentle on the skin and moisturizes your skin is like a beauty serum!

``Yumoto Sakakibarakan'' is the only accommodation facility in Sakakibara Onsen that has its own hot spring source, and its appeal is that you can always enjoy fresh hot water.

The photo is of the large public bath ``Moegi'' with ``Maromi no Yu'', which has natural hot spring water.

The temperature of the source is lukewarm at 31.2 degrees, but you can soak in the hot water slowly, warming your body from the core.

The photo shows another large public bath, Murasaki, where the baths for men and women alternate daily with Moegi.

Once soaked thoroughly, you will feel a smooth texture on your skin.

There are also two types of open-air baths adjacent to the large public bath, ``Osome'' and ``Tamenosuke,'' which can be used by men and women on alternate days. The photo is "Osome".

Both have dynamic rock baths that give you the feel of a hot spring inn.

Relaxing in the spacious rock bath while listening to the sound of the hot spring water...the ultimate luxury!

“Rooms with open-air baths” are the ultimate private space

The rooms with open-air baths, where you can bathe as you please, are designed to allow you to enjoy a luxurious and comfortable time.

Recommended for those who value their private moments!

Some rooms even come with Shigaraki ware ceramic baths!

Ceramic baths allow the heat of the water to escape easily and have interesting textures. Please try it once!

In addition to the ``Rooms with open-air baths,'' we also recommend the ``Special Ladies Room.''

It's a pure Japanese-style room with two consecutive rooms, and there are two washrooms, so it's perfect for a girls' night out!

“Food that is good for the body” with the theme of beauty and health

Yumoto Sakakibarakan's policy is to use safe, healthy ingredients such as rice and vegetables grown naturally in Mie Prefecture.

The specialty of Kaiseki cuisine is the ``Onsen Vegetable Steamed Pot'', which steams 10 kinds of seasonal vegetables in the hot spring water.

The menu brings out the natural flavors of the ingredients and is very healthy. But it's delicious!

The steamy, colorful vegetables look great on social media.

The course where you can enjoy Matsusaka beef teppanyaki is also popular!

The freshly grilled Matsusaka beef teppanyaki, which is said to be a "work of meat art," is truly exquisite! So delicious that you will be enchanted♪

The main dining venue is Maroki-style dining ``Kuriyazoshi.''

Enjoying your meal while feeling the sound of the river and the breath of the trees will be even more delicious.

It is barrier-free, so people in wheelchairs can use it with confidence.

The private banquet hall, with tables and chairs arranged on tatami mats, is popular among the elderly.

There are many different styles of dining options, and you can get a glimpse of the thoughtfulness of the ryokan.

In-house facilities are also full of points you can't miss!

Another feature of this inn is that there is a ``drinking place'' in the hot spring rest area where you can drink the hot spring water for free.

I want to experience the effects of Sakakibara Onsen from inside my body!

Before drinking it, I was worried about what hot springs taste like, but when I tried it...

It doesn't have any unpleasant taste and is easy to drink.

If you drink this hot spring water after soaking in the hot springs, you will feel the effects of the hot springs from within your body!

I hope you have beautiful skin...♪

The abundance of shops is also a nice feature for guests.

A wide range of local specialties are available.

When I was thinking, ``I wish I had an original product,'' I found the perfect product!

The ``Maromi Series'' is a line of hot spring cosmetics that use the source water from Sakakibara Onsen.

It is very popular as a souvenir for women.

``Yumoto Sakakibarakan'' retains its vestiges as a ``hot spring spa'' that has healed people since ancient times, and is equipped to meet a wide range of needs, including active efforts to make it barrier-free.

We are sure that it will continue to be loved as a ryokan that provides heart-warming services.
