A ryokan where you can enjoy the view of Ise-Shima National Park

Kashijima Island attracted a lot of attention when it became the venue for the 2016 IseShimaSummit. The ``scenic view of Ago Bay'' that the leaders of all countries enjoyed together will remain in the memories of many people. It is part of Ise-Shima National Park and is also known as a production area for pearl culture.

The inn located on top of the mountain at the southernmost tip of Kashiwajima is ``Kashiojima no Yado Michishio''.

As soon as you enter the front door, you will feel a gentle and relaxing atmosphere.
The moment I enter a ryokan or hotel, I always get excited and wonder what kind of ryokan it is.

All rooms face the ocean and are popular for their calm structure.

All of Michishio's guest rooms face the ocean so that you can enjoy the view that takes advantage of its location on the island's high ground.
It has a simple structure based on Japanese style, and is extremely comfortable.
The "special room with open-air bath" shown in the photo is a spacious Japanese-Western style room.

From the ``semi-open-air bath'' on the terrace, you can see the beautiful scenery of Ago Bay. The clear air and refreshing breeze will make your bath more pleasant!

The scenery of large and small islands full of natural beauty and the blue sea is so beautiful that you should definitely see it at least once. The numerous ``pearl rafts'' floating in the sky give a sense of Shima's unique culture.

This is a room with a small garden! This is the first time I've seen a room with a courtyard. It is interesting!
The elegant courtyard creates a comfortable Japanese space, making this room truly extraordinary!

Relax with the warm hot springs and beautiful views!

The bath at Michishio is an artificial radium hot spring, which has the same hot bathing effect as a natural hot spring.
The indoor bath of the large public bath ``Sansan'' on the third floor has a cypress bath, and the scent of the cypress bath gently envelops the space.

The view of Ago Bay from the open-air bath at Sansan is also GOOD! It's very open-minded, and you can enjoy a relaxing time that can only be found here.

The large public bath "Youyo" on the 4th floor has a natural stone jet bath. The moderately strong jet water massages all parts of your body at the same time and feels great!

"Herb Sauna" installed at "Agendan". It is said that by boiling and vaporizing herbs that are good for beauty and health and bathing the whole body, it not only has a relaxing effect, but also has a detox effect.
*It cannot be used for day trip bathing only.

The skills and spirit of chefs who make use of the rich bounty of the sea

The great thing about meals is that you can basically enjoy breakfast and dinner in your room.
While the number of meals eaten at restaurants in both inns and hotels is increasing, it's still a good idea to enjoy meals in your room at an inn. Rather than relying solely on "branded ingredients" such as spiny lobster and abalone, each and every dish is made with love and delights our customers.

Michishio's specialty is ``Seafood Horaku Manchoyaki,'' which is made by steaming Shima-grown cypress shells, turban shells, shrimp, and fish in a horokunabe.
It's packed with the delicious flavor of seafood, and if everyone eats it, it'll be gone in no time.

The plan where you can enjoy plenty of seafood from Ise Shima with sashimi is also popular. In addition to the sake served at IseShimaSummit, we also have carefully selected local sake, which goes perfectly with the sashimi.

The interior of the building has a “Japanese spirit” that is friendly to everyone.

The tea room "Enjuan" is located in the lobby. There is also a ``Suikinkutsu'' where you can hear cool sounds, which is said to be very popular with foreign visitors.

All of the ``ikebana'' that decorate the hall were arranged by the proprietress. This kind of warm consideration is what makes this ryokan so appealing.

The restroom in the lobby is ostomate-friendly. We practice "universal design" so that everyone can enjoy their stay with peace of mind.

The outdoor pool for children is a big hit every year. The structure that sparkles like a pearl is also popular.

The rooms and baths were designed to allow you to fully enjoy the view of Ago Bay, one of Mie Prefecture's most famous views, and the food was served with outstanding attention to detail. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time with the heartwarming service. This is an inn that you'll want to come back to again and tell someone about!
