Cafe time at Inabe! I went to the retro "Kamiki Shokudo" and the stylish "Ouchi Cafe"♪

掲載日:2019.03.28

Ageki Shokudo is a renovated building that used to be an inn and has been reborn as a restaurant. The retro atmosphere inside the store will make you feel as if you have traveled back in time. This restaurant serves healthy menus made with organic vegetables grown at local farms.
``Ouchi Café'' is a place where you can enjoy your meal in a relaxing space surrounded by a woody interior. The store manager, the staff in charge of sweets, and the staff in charge of cooking worked together to come up with a cute menu that is sure to look great on social media.
This time we will be reporting on two stylish cafes in InabeCity. Enjoy sweets while soaking up the atmosphere of each shop♪

A quaint building located in the shopping district of Akemi-cho, ageki InabeCity, where traces of the Showa era still remain. This is our first destination this time, ``Ageki Shokudo''. The store name is written in large letters on the side of the building.
``Kamiki Shokudo'' was opened by Mr. Terazono, who runs ``Happu Farm'' in Fujiwara Town, with the desire to ``create a restaurant using vegetables grown at his own farm.'' Chef Matsumoto, a friend of Mr. Terazono, is in charge of the restaurant's cuisine, and the restaurant's healthy menu, which uses organic vegetables purchased from local farms such as Happu Farm, has been well-received.

The restaurant was originally an inn that had been in operation for over 100 years, and was renovated, so you can feel the retro warmth from every corner. The rest area in front of the shop also has a nostalgic atmosphere.

When you open the sliding door and step inside, you will be greeted by a wonderful Japanese space with a relaxing wooden texture. Some of the furniture in the store, such as desks and chairs, is from the time when it was an inn.

The shop is open as a cafe from 11:30 to 17:00 and as a bar from 17:00 to 22:00.
The cooking area is an open kitchen, and you can watch the cooking process from the counter. The display of dishes lined up on the counter is also stylish and makes you feel happy when you look at it.

The ceiling is made to take advantage of the original wooden structure and has an open ceiling, giving it an open feel. Each accessory placed here is classic and wonderful♪
Now that I've had a good look around the store, I'd like to order dessert.

I was curious about the name of the menu that included the farm's name in the menu, so I ordered this "Yuuki Farm's Carrot Cake" (450 yen/tax included). The cream and sugar decorations are so cute!

Let's have it then! It has a gentle taste that lets you feel the slight sweetness of the carrots. The cream also has an elegant sweetness that will put a smile on your face when you eat it.

There are two types of lunch menu: A lunch and B lunch. The contents of each menu change depending on the seasonal ingredients. What I received that day was "A Lunch" (1,100 yen/tax included). Hokkaido cod fritters and a salad of organic vegetables procured from local farms are arranged on a brightly colored plate to please not only your tongue but also your eyes.

While I was enjoying my lunch, this product suddenly caught my eye. Kamiki Shokudo's original blend of coffee is said to be popular for its simple taste and easy drinking! I was drawn to the simple and cute packaging and decided to buy it as a souvenir to take home. I'm looking forward to drinking it at home.

Outside the store is a vegetable direct sales corner from Happu Farm. “Happu Farm” also sells by mail order, but this is the only place where you can buy vegetables directly from the farm! Please take a look and feel the freshness of freshly harvested vegetables♪

Now, let's head to our next destination, "Home Cafe"!

A woody building with beautifully arranged garden pots in a quiet environment surrounded by countryside. We have arrived at our next destination, “Ouchi Cafe”! The fairy tale atmosphere will make your heart flutter even before you enter the store.

The interior of the store is unified with natural colors and gives a soothing feeling. The sunlight shines in warmly, and the air is soft and calm.

On the first floor, there is a miscellaneous goods corner lined with cute miscellaneous goods that will stimulate the girl's heart. There are various genres such as accessories and small items. Here, the shop owner, Mr. Yamakawa, personally meets and talks with each artist and selects only recommended works.
If you like the work, please give Yamakawa a shout! You can get detailed information about the artist who created the work, such as workshop information and other works.

When you go up to the second floor, you can eat while looking down on the open atrium on the first floor. It is a private space where you can chat with your loved ones and friends.

We also recommend spending some time outside on the terrace! When the store opened, Mr. Yamakawa was particular about the view that could be seen from the store, and even pruned the trees and plants around the store himself.
When the weather gets warmer, it would be wonderful to have a meal here while enjoying the peaceful scenery of Inabe!

Now, I would like to order from the menu. After looking at the photo of the menu, I was surprised by its impact and ordered the ``Ouchi Parfait'' (1,000 yen/tax included). I was surprised when I saw the parfait that was actually delivered to me! I had no idea it was this big...!
A parfait piled high with seasonal fruits, two types of ice cream, waffles, and sweet happiness. If you are wondering how to eat...

Mr. Yamakawa taught me how to eat the waffle by saying, ``Pick up the waffle and put it on this plate!'' I see, it's easier to eat if you divide it like this!
You can add the berry sauce of the set to your liking. The colorful and dreamy color of Kagawa prefecture's traditional rice cracker "Oiri" sprinkled on the cream is so cute♪ The perfect sweetness of the cream and the sweet and sour taste of the berries are irresistible.

This is the most popular menu item, "Chicken Nanban Tartare Lunch" (1,080 yen/tax included). The juicy flavor of chicken nanban topped with homemade tartar sauce is perfect for rice! You can eat plenty of vegetables, mainly locally grown, and it's a hearty meal that will leave you full and satisfied.
Also, the monthly "Home Lunch" (1,080 yen/tax included) is not to be missed. At the time of this interview, a hamburger lunch made with branded meat from Sakura Pork in InabeCity was being served. It's a fun point to see what the menu will be like every month ♪

The staff in charge of sweets at the store also offers a daily menu that changes on a whim! On the day I interviewed them, I took a photo of the sweets they had made as a prototype♪
In addition, "Ouchi Cafe" uses the shop's grounds to hold marches twice every year, around April and September. There are also many other seasonal events such as Christmas and New Year's!
You can check the latest information about Ouchi Cafe, such as sweets and events that will be served that day, on the shop's LINE or Instagram.

Well, since I've been reporting so far and you're running such a cute cafe, the manager must be cute too...! Isn't there some of you who think so?
Let's have Mr. Yamakawa appear here! Although he may look tough, he is a very friendly and playful person. He is a passionate store manager who focuses on menu development and event planning, with the motto of ``not disappointing the expectations of customers who visit the store.''
I enjoyed "Home Cafe" where Mr. Yamakawa's commitment shines throughout the shop♪

Kamiki Shokudo is proud of its menu that uses organically grown vegetables. This time, we used it as a cafe during the day, but if you visit at night, it will have a lively atmosphere with mainly locals drinking together, and you can enjoy your meal in a different atmosphere than during the day.
And then there's ``Ouchi Cafe,'' a shop where you can enjoy an interior that captures the girl's heart and a cute and stylish menu. It was a very comfortable space with a peaceful atmosphere where you could take a breather♪
