From TamakiTown to IseJingu! This is a model course where you can enjoy popular local gourmet food♪

Take a historical stroll at Tamaru Castle, the symbol of TamakiTown! We will introduce popular gourmet food, souvenirs, and inns in the area around IseJingu ♪ Don't miss the fantastic scenery that can only be seen at this time of year!

Start your trip from TamakiTown, located to the west of IseJingu!
It is a town where many people have come and gone since ancient times as the starting point of the Kumano Kodo. Approximately 10 minutes from Tamaki IC on the Ise Expressway. First, we stopped at ASPIATamaki, a popular complex where you can buy local specialties and enjoy hot springs.

Furusato Aji Kobo Agri, located in ASPIATamaki, sells safe and secure vegetables, fruits, and processed products where you can see the faces of the producers. Anyway, they have a wide variety of products, so it's fun just looking around the store!

Our staff recommends products related to the Tamaki pork brand. 20,000 Tamaki pigs raised in TamakiTown are shipped annually, but since the town's population is around 15,000, there are more pigs than people. It has no odor and its fat has a sweet taste, making it perfect as an ingredient in curry!

The new product, Tsuyu Akane Syrup, made with red plums from Tamaki, is also highly recommended.
``Roakane'' is a hybrid of plum and plum, and contains a lot of ``anthocyanin,'' which is expected to suppress the production of active oxygen. It goes perfectly with carbonated water and shochu.

At Furusato Aji Kobo Agri, the ``handmade experience class'' is popular.
The sausage making experience involves kneading ground Tamaki pork, stuffing it into sheep intestines using equipment, and boiling it! It has become a popular experience for families. (Participation fee: 3,150 yen for a pair, 5,250 yen for a family (4 people), 1,050 yen per person for a group (8 or more people)
*Reservation required at least 3 days before the event)

``Agriyaki'' was purchased at ``Takoyaki House'' next to ``Agri Annex Rice Workshop''.
The outside is crunchy, the inside is soft and the inside is Tamaki pork. The flavor of the meat is concentrated, so it's delicious even without sauce!
ASPIATamaki also has a park and hot springs, making it a facility that the whole family can enjoy for a day.

Approximately 10 minutes by car from ASPIATamaki, you will arrive at Tamaru Castle Ruins, the symbol of TamakiTown.
It is said to have been built by Kitabatake Chikafusa and his son Akinobu in 1336, more than 680 years ago, as a base for the Southern Court. The path is well-maintained and has moderate ups and downs, making it ideal as a walking course.

View from the ruins of the castle tower. You can overlook the idyllic countryside and experience the richness of TamakiTown 's nature.
Surrounded by a comfortable atmosphere, you will almost forget the passage of time.

When you come to the Ise-Shima area, you can't miss IseJingu "home of the Japanese spirit."
Geku It took about 30 minutes by car from the ruins of Tamaru Castle to get to the site. The shrine is dedicated to Toyouke-no-Omikami (Toyoke no Omikami), the god of food and grain. Passing through the torii gate and walking along the path filled with negative ions, one feels refreshed.

After visiting the shrine, take a walk along the approach to Geku. There are souvenir shops unique to Ise-Shima, as well as restaurants and izakayas that are open at night, giving it a different feel from Okage-yokocho.
Among them, we will stop by Yamamura Milk School, which has a retro atmosphere and an interesting exterior.

This shop was opened by Yamamura Dairy to bring you closer to Yamamura Milk, which has been loved by locals since the Taisho era. In addition to milk, the store is stocked with products made with our proud milk, such as yogurt and pudding.

Leaving Geku, we headed towards Meotoiwa(rocksofthemarriedcouple), Ise City, which is famous for Meoto IseCity. About a 20-minute drive, we will visit Isuzu Seigoan, which sells Futami Town's specialty, salt yokan.

When you enter the store, the tools and daily necessities that convey history catch your eye.
You can feel the elegance that is unique to this long-established store, which was founded in 1920.

This is Futami Town's specialty, "Salt Yokan." We use Futami-iwato salt, which is boiled from the salt water from the Futamijinmae coast where freshwater and seawater meet. A masterpiece made with carefully selected red beans and salt, carefully kneaded without adding any unnecessary additives. The refreshing sweetness matches the exquisite salty taste, making it an addictive taste.

The salted yokan and matcha set that you can enjoy in the store is popular with people of all ages. I'm so happy that I was able to spend time enjoying this combination!

Miniature pottery ``Futami Frog, safe frog. The tiny size and the frog's expression are cute!

The owner and his wife both have lovely smiles. Salt yokan is of course popular as a souvenir for tourists, but it is also often purchased by locals as souvenirs to take with them outside of the prefecture. It's a proud local product. Thank you very much for your heartwarming hospitality!

Today's accommodation is Hamachiyokan, which is about a 1-minute walk from Isuzu Seigoan.
This inn has an excellent location, with FutamiuraBeach spreading out in front of you.

A few years ago, the inside of the hotel and some of the guest rooms were renovated.
The lobby has a stylish design based on modern Japanese style. The jazz live performances held here once a month are also popular.

I'm so happy to be able to stay in a room with a view of the ocean! It is also popular for its beautiful sunset views throughout the year. We enjoyed a leisurely bath in a private open-air bath with an indoor bath (use fee: 2,100 yen for 40 minutes). The feeling of openness will wash away your fatigue.

The delicious dishes are lined up with luxurious items made with fresh ingredients from Ise-Shima.
I was impressed by the deliciousness of each ingredient. The best part of traveling is, of course, the food.
