“Waterfall Girl” Ayako Sakazaki experiences the activity of “playing in the river at a waterfall” at Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Campground in KihoTown! Jumping into the emerald green basin of a waterfall, or floating around on a boat while listening to the sound of flowing water... activities that both children and adults can have fun playing in the water.
Ayako Sakazaki, a ``Taki Girl'' who loves waterfalls, introduced us to `` Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Campsite'' in KihoTown.

Hello. This is Ayako Sakazaki from "Taki Girl".
I'm a waterfall geek who thinks about waterfalls all the time, so much so that I often joke that "waterfalls are my lover."
While I usually work in Tokyo, I spend my weekends visiting waterfalls all over Japan, but recently I've been working as a guide, writing columns, and giving lectures to help more people learn how to enjoy waterfalls. We are also putting effort into raising awareness about the charm of waterfalls!
This time, Kanko Mie would like to introduce you to waterfall play in KihoTown, the southernmost area of Mie Prefecture. We would like to introduce a secret waterfall tour that we recommend especially during summer vacation.
The tour we will introduce this time is on the activity menu of KihoTown 's "Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Campsite".
Waterfall basin dobon and waterfall sliding ``River play at KihoTown 's waterfalls''.

Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Campsite is a popular campsite for waterfall enthusiasts. After all, the campsite is in a great location right in front of the waterfall!

Not only that, but they also suggest various ways to enjoy the waterfall, like this tour.
When I followed the forest road along the river to the end, I could see the sparkle of the waterfall below.
The total height of the waterfall is about 10m. It falls into a two-tier Namedaki (waterfall flowing over smooth bedrock) and finally empties into a wide emerald green basin.
Although it is so beautiful, it is a little-known waterfall that even the locals don't know about.
However, both adults and children will soon get used to it.
First of all, jump under the waterfall! The basin of the first waterfall is deep, so you can jump from the rocks. It may be some kind of ritual to play with the waterfall.
By the way, as a waterfall girl, I can't stop grinning at this point.
The next challenge is the waterfall slide! Both the upper and lower levels of this waterfall are like slides. The difficulty level of this slider seems to be just right.
Anyone can slide down with just a little courage. The upper waterfall has a steeper slope! ↓
Even though this wasn't my hometown, I felt somehow nostalgic. If there was a playground like this in my hometown, I would have gone there every day during my summer vacation.
Now, here comes the secret item! This is a "packraft".
A raft boat that can be folded into a small size. If this is introduced, the range of waterfall play will further expand. It's not difficult at all, and anyone can use it right away.
We had two packrafts, but the kids gave them to us and we rode them quite a bit (lol).
Although this tour is not aimed at a specific destination, I feel how luxurious it is to spend time freely in this paradise-like place.
The voices of everyone having fun overlapped there... It had an indescribable healing effect.
I am deeply moved by this kind of peace. Just like that, two hours passed in the blink of an eye. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
There will be a guide with you, so you can rest assured about your safety.
When it comes to outdoor activities in the summer, you can get tired of the heat, but this tour has nothing to do with the heat as it involves playing with water. The higher the temperature, the more you can enjoy it.
I thought I'd be tired because I'm probably moving my body a lot more than usual, but that's not the case at all. You might think it's for children and young people, but it's actually recommended for working adults who don't have enough nature.
Charge up the power of nature and be sure to feel energetic!

KihoTownThe word ``yūgen'' is apt for this waterfall located to the west of Asari Shrine, which is 30 meters high and 12 meters wide, and where water falls from the sky like falling from the sky. Long ago, Tokugawa Yorinobu (Nanryu Lord), the lord of the Kishu domain, visited this waterfall and was struck by its beauty. When the wind blows, snow dances like droplets,'' he wrote in a Chinese poem. Because of this, it came to be called `` Hisetsu-no-takiFalls''. There are also camping sites and walking trails around Hisetsu-no-takiFalls.
