◆ kamisakiura Mural “Harmony and Teaching”

A mural painted on the breakwater of kamisakiura, a quaint fishing town.
YohNagao, an internationally active artist from Aichi Prefecture, created a work measuring 5 meters in height and 10 meters in width, based on the concept of MinamiiseTown 's "abundance and beauty of nature."
The whole town is made up of patterns related to MinamiiseTown, such as the pattern on the bottom of a boat used in the traditional event "Mifune Festival" in kamisakiura, Ise lobsters dedicated to IseJingu, the three dragons from local mythology, and a flying dragonfly. We express the charm of the world as a form of art. The grandeur and vividness of the work is overwhelming!

◆Konmouzansaihoji Temple (Natsu Kannon)

The Kannon-do is known by locals as ``Natsu's Kannon-san'' to ward off evil spirits. It is said to have been founded by Gyoki, a famous monk from the Nara period, and the eleven-faced Kannon Bodhisattva is enshrined here. On the first day of the morning, many people visit the shrine to pray for protection against illness, protection from misfortune, and good health.
Legend has it that a long time ago, a whale with a small golden Buddha statue on its head appeared on Natsu Beach, and when a local fisherman scooped it up with a net, the sky turned golden and the whale instantly turned to rock. ◆Yamatohime no Mikoto Koshikakeiwa

This is the place where Yamahime no Mikoto, the daughter of the 11th Emperor Suinin, sat down to rest for a moment while on a tour to find the enshrinement of Amaterasu-Omikami. It is said that.

◆Sengu Shrine

Located near Naiku of IseJingu, this shrine is dedicated to Sarutahiko no Mikoto, the deity of Sarutahiko Sarutahiko-JinjaShrine, a popular power spot where you can receive blessings.
The Emaden is dedicated to many paintings related to Hyakunin Isshu and the myth of Amanoiwato, so it's definitely worth a look! The "Sarushinseki" located behind the main shrine is also a must-see spot. As the name suggests, it looks like the profile of a monkey! There is a local village in the direction that Sarugami Stone is facing, and it is said that Sarutahiko no Mikoto appears in the form of a rock and protects the area.

Located on top of a mountain at an altitude of approximately 70m, there are 365 stone steps to the main shrine! !

◆ Tsuchi-no-miya

◆Shosenji Temple

There are five historic temples located in the central area of MinamiiseTown. We have in our possession the ``Shihonboku Shodai Hannyakyo'' (a prefecturally designated cultural property), which is a valuable copy of a sutra written in ink and paper from the early Kamakura period.
Residents complained that the high-pitched sound of the bell in the temple grounds caused fish to run away, so nine holes were cut into the top of the bell.
It's fun to learn about stories unique to each town. Also, from April to May every year, the wisteria in the temple grounds blooms beautifully!

◆Gokasho Castle Ruins

Gokasho Castle was the castle of the Aisukou family, who were loyal vassals during the Southern Court period, and was also called Aisu Castle.
