I came to "Sunny Coast Kayaks", a sea kayak shop based in Gokasho Bay!

The instructor, Yoichi Motohashi, moved to MinamiiseTown from Saitama Prefecture eight years ago. Mr. Motohashi, who has experienced many different oceans, will take you on a sea kayak tour of Gokasho Bay, which he fell in love with.

When you first arrive, change your clothes in the changing room and put on your life jacket. There are separate shower rooms for women and men, so it's great that you can change your clothes and go home after the experience!
By the way, sea kayaking is a marine sport that is relatively easy to operate, and even beginners (even those who can't swim) can easily get into it. In particular, the calm waters of Gokasho Bay are perfect for making your debut in sea kayaking!

Valuables, cameras, smartphones, and other luggage can be placed in a waterproof bag and taken with you on the tour.

I was surprised, thinking, ``We're going out into the ocean in such a magnificent way!'', but our instructor, Mr. Motohashi, always guided us and gave us advice, so we were able to go out into the ocean with confidence.

During the interview, you will be able to experience the unique scenery of MinamiiseTown up close, such as passing by blue-green laver and pearl cultivation rafts.

First, go to the red lighthouse at the 1km point.
Whether it's a tailwind or a headwind, riding the waves or going against them... it feels so good to move on the ocean!
It was exhilarating while rowing, and it was a relaxing time to just float around during breaks.

Birds were flying leisurely over the sea, fish were jumping, and there were scenes that you wouldn't see in everyday life.

During the tour, we took a break on an uninhabited beach that was inaccessible by several land routes.
Let's go to that beach next time! Mr. Motohashi says as he guides us through recommended points one after another. Even though I'm a beginner, I felt like an adventurer and enjoyed it!

You can look for beautiful sea glass and shellfish on the beach.

Next, head to a quiet cove surrounded by mangroves. This is Hamazincho. In Japan, it is known to grow naturally in some areas of Kyushu, but it is said that it can only be found here on Honshu! It seems that small cute flowers bloom from February to March.

We row again and move to the beach where we will have lunch.

Once you arrive at the beach, the outdoor cooking begins!

The menu is ``Grilled Ise-Udon'' which uses Ise-Udon that is loved by locals! The tools and methods for outdoor cooking are also very interesting.

Eating lunch in such a spectacular location is so special! It was the ultimate luxury!

After dinner, have a coffee break! They served me freshly brewed hot coffee.

I'm new to kayaking, but I couldn't believe we were out on the water for 5 hours! The time passed by so quickly that I thought it was time.
