“Sa Taki Festival” will be held at Tobiyuki Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Taki Campsite, a sacred place for tent saunas!
掲載日:2020.12.25
"Sa-taki" is short for sauna and waterfall. The word that quickly spread to sauna enthusiasts (hereinafter referred to as saunas) all over Japan was born at Hisetsu-no-takiFalls campsite in Kiho-cho, KihoTown. Today, Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Campground is called the ``sacred place for tent saunas,'' and has built a reputation that saunas from all over the country have made it a ``dream place to visit someday.'' Approximately 1 year and 8 months after the tent sauna sacred place "Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Campsite" started offering tent saunas, the first event in western Japan that will go down in the history of the sauna world was held. The name is "Sataki Festival", a festival of tent saunas. In this article, we will introduce you to the saunars who gathered at Sataki Festival, a festival filled with excitement and bliss. By the time you finish reading this article, you will definitely be itching to go to the sauna and experience the enchanting Sa Falls.
Did you know that the sauna world in Japan is experiencing an incredibly hot wave right now? The symbols of the exciting sauna world are the gorgeous cast members who came to the Sataki Festival.
One of the cast members, Mr. Satoshi Hashikume (hereinafter referred to as Satoshi), is an entertainer in the sauna world called ``Atsushi'' who is active at Sky Spa YOKOHAMA. He is the leader of Aufguss Professional Team. A heat wave master is a craftsman who has mastered the ``heat wave'' technique, which uses bath towels and uchiwa to send hot air through a uniquely Japanese evolution of low heat.
*For more information on Roryu and Aufguss, check out the official website of the Japan Sauna Heatwave Aufguss Association [Heatwave Koshien].
Rest your chopsticks, Satoshi: "...It's a mental liberation. When you go into a sauna, you're just a naked human being."
Everyone's purpose in the sauna is the same: to feel good. Satoshi's energy, which is full of love for saunas, will be released into the saunas as an intense heat wave.
Another heat wave master, Atsuko Goto, is also in high spirits! The saunars' eyes were glued to the tent sauna's preliminary towel dance that blows air. I want to bathe in Atsuko's heat waves...I can hear her voice leaking from the sauna.
The long-awaited tent sauna festival "Sataki Fest" has finally arrived.
At Sataki Festival, a total of 5 saunas will be assembled, including the 2 tent saunas permanently installed at Hisetsu-no-takiFalls campsite, as well as a large tent sauna and a trailer sauna. Saunas are drawn to each sauna one after another.
The trailer sauna "TOTTONOW", of which there are only a few in Japan, is characterized by its airtightness compared to tent saunas. The indoor temperature rises to a maximum of about 110 degrees, and the aroma blend Roryu gives you the ultimate "toto" experience.
Furthermore, the ``hot tub'' brought by truck by MIZU JAPAN, a pioneer in the field of Finnish products, has arrived in western Japan for the first time. The Finnish-style Goemon bath has a diameter of 170cm and can accommodate 4 to 6 adults.
I was surprised that the day would come when I could take a warm bath in front of Hisetsu-no-takiFalls.
Rest your chopsticks Satoshi: “Yohohoho, yohohoho, I love the sauna♪”
Satoshi's singing voice can be heard from everywhere. In addition to singing voices, you could also hear light music and the clapping of the sauna participants from the large tent sauna. Yes, Satoshi's heat wave attraction was just beginning inside the tent sauna.
Inside the swaying tent, the saunars are fully basking in Satoshi's heat waves. The joyful screams of the sauna, as if you were in an amusement park? sounded.
After finishing his work as a heat wave therapist, Satoshi jumped out of the tent sauna.
Large beads of sweat were dripping down my forehead. You can feel the ferocity of the heat wave that has unfolded.
Following Satoshi, the saunars who had been exposed to the heat wave came out of the tent sauna one after another. First, look up at the sky and take a deep breath while feeling the clear Kumano air all over your body. And of course where we go from there...
It is Hisetsu-no-takiFalls. The saunars naturally pick up their pace as they arrive at the long-awaited ``waterfall bath''.
Saunas that look very comfortable. Although it was late autumn, the scenery gave the illusion of midsummer. ``Toto'' saunas are popping up one after another for a sauna experience in the middle of nature.
Enjoy a relaxing bath in the open air on a relaxing chair or special ducky bed.
Saunars are completely captivated by the sauna festival, which includes warming up their bodies in the hot tub.
- “I think this is the only place in Japan where you can jump into a waterfall after taking a sauna. It’s the best!”
Said Sauna, who was visiting Hisetsu-no-takiFalls Campsite for the first time. KihoTown, located at the southernmost tip of Mie Prefecture, is not easily accessible. Still, what is it about Sa-taki that attracts saunars?
- "It's definitely refreshing to be in nature. There's a scent of firewood, and there's a comfort that's different from a facility sauna."
A regular customer of Sa-taki. In Mie Prefecture and Wakayama Prefecture, the water is cleaner the further south you go, and regular customers have long enjoyed fishing and playing in the Kumano River. Sataki, where you can enjoy your favorite sauna in the middle of nature, has captured the hearts of sauna enthusiasts.
When I looked through the window of the sauna trailer "TOTONOW", I saw that a guerrilla heat wave was underway. I take my hat off to the energy of the saunars who bathe in heat waves and the heat wave therapists who continue to emit heat waves.
The charm of the sauna that you can experience at Sataki Festival is still endless. This time, saunars enjoy yoga inside the tent. Under the guidance of yoga instructor Takako Wakasa, participants relaxed and smiled as they enjoyed the ``care yoga experience in the sauna'' while the steam of aromatic water poured down.
A special sales corner for interesting sauna goods and a sauna caricature corner created by Mari Asumi, an illustrator who loves saunas, will also enliven the Sataki Festival.
- "This is sour and perfect after sauna. It's exactly what I was looking for."
After sweating in the sauna, it is essential to stay hydrated. Freelance chef Naoko Hayashi's homemade ``Nihime Switchel'' moisturizes your throat in the sauna. A sauna drink with a local feel that combines the bitter and sour citrus fruit ``Nihime'' from KihoTown, ``Mifune Vinegar'' from MihamaTown, and ``Mikan Honey'' from KumanoCity.
After hydration comes nutrition. Sauna food, commonly known as ``sa-meshi,'' satisfies the hungry saunars at Sa-taki. The Kumano amago skewers grilled by Kokoro Shokudo in KihoTown have crispy skin and fluffy flesh. The amount of salt is also exquisite and irresistible.
At the Sataki Fes Sauna Exchange Meeting in the evening, there will be an array of luxurious ``Sa Meshi'' made with plenty of fresh local ingredients such as spiny lobster, bonito, and Meyer lemon. The Kumano region, rich in nature including the sea, mountains, and rivers, is a treasure trove of ingredients.
-It's delicious. It's the best!
The voices of ``the best'' echoed from everywhere and never stopped during the Sataki Festival.
The women's sauna talk show, held around the bonfire, will also be a great hit. Atsuko, a heatwave expert, will be the lively moderator, and will keep the saunars laughing, with stories such as ``Stories from sauna lovers creating sauna lovers,'' ``Local sauna stories,'' and ``Stories from sauna travelers who travel around the world.''
Hisetsu-no-takiFalls was also beautifully lit up during everyone's countdown. A blissful ``time'' passed by as we enjoyed Kumano with all five senses, including body, mind, and stomach.
The tent sauna festival “Sataki Festival” will be held on November 28th and 29th, 2020. It was a legendary two days that will go down in the history of the sauna world.
When you go into a sauna, you're just a naked person.
As the heatwave master Satoshi Hashihime said, the expressions on the faces of the saunas who enjoyed the Sataki Festival, regardless of gender, age, or occupation, were very cheerful, and I am convinced that the sauna world in Japan will become more and more popular in the future. He gave it to me.
Not only those of you who couldn't participate in the Sataki Festival this time, but also those of you who are curious about the sauna. Why not take the first step to becoming just a naked human at Sataki at Hisetsu-no-takiFalls campsite?
