Smart customer service using tablets and AI

It's located right next to Naiku IseJingu, and the noren curtain with the character "e" engraved on it is a landmark.

Ebiya was founded in the Taisho era and has welcomed many worshipers in Oharai-Machi, IseJingu Naiku Monzen-cho. Renovated in 2016, it has been evolving its hospitality while incorporating various digital technologies even before the coronavirus pandemic.

There is one tablet at each seat in the store, allowing customers to easily place orders and summon staff with just a touch. In addition to being able to take your time checking the menu and ordering, it also reduces the number of order mistakes, saves you the trouble of taking orders, and allows meals to be served more quickly, making this a great system for both customers and restaurants. Furthermore, with the spread of the new coronavirus, efficient customer service using tablets helps prevent infections by preventing customers and employees from coming into close contact.

Tablet devices are placed at each seat.

When called on a tablet, the wearable worn by employees will vibrate and notify them.

Ebiya uses AI to predict the number of customers and orders, and to estimate in advance the types and amounts of ingredients used at the store. Based on technology that helps reduce food waste, we use Mie Prefecture's proud fresh ingredients to provide a colorful mix of meat, fish, and vegetables. Of course, you can also enjoy Ise-Udon. There is an abalone skewer stall next to the main dining room. There are two flavors: grilled salt and butter soy sauce, so you can casually enjoy seafood while strolling around Oharai-Machi.

Many of the ingredients are from Mie Prefecture. We provide fresh ingredients from Mie, a beautiful country, without any waste.

Abalone skewers that you can eat while walking are also popular.

When the restaurant reopened in 2016, an Ebiya store was added next to the restaurant. In 2017, Ebiya also won the Good Design Award. We sell carefully selected original products in stylish packaging, and you can purchase Mie souvenirs that are fun to look at, stylish to hold, and delicious to eat. Many types of cashless payments are available at the register.

Infectious disease countermeasures using digital technology

A thermography camera is installed at the entrance. You can smoothly check your temperature before entering the store.

At Ebiya, customers' temperatures are taken using thermography when they enter the store, and disinfectants are also placed at the entrance and at each table. In front of the store, we have installed a large display that allows you to check the congestion prediction by time of day predicted by AI and the congestion information in the store in real time. You can see not only the current table status but also the available time slots, so you can enjoy your meal without waiting in line or crowding.

Some customers decide when to enter the store by checking the crowd status shown on the large display.

Additionally, we have launched ``WEB Visit,'' which allows you to shop online as if you were actually in the store. Even if you are unable to visit the store in person, you can have one-on-one conversations with store staff to choose products and consult with them.

As a new endeavor, we are also offering a ``Ise-san stroll agency''. Stroll around Harai-cho on behalf of customers who can't come to Ise-Oharai-Machi. Purchase Ise specialties and have them delivered to your door. People who used to go to Ise-san every year, but this year... etc., can enjoy it through the screen.

Head to Oharai-Machi with your smartphone in hand. Even customers from far away can take a walk with the feeling of visiting Ise.

At Ebiya, you can enjoy the charm of Ise both in person and online. Even as we respond to various changes in society and the environment, one thing that remains the same is our spirit of hospitality towards our customers.
