We covered Gosaie, an ama diver's house that opened on the approach to Ishigami-san in osatsu TobaCity, which is said to make women's wishes come true, and Toba Marine Terminal, the new gateway to the sea in Toba. I did it! (April 2011)

osatsu Toba TobaCity, is home to the largest number of active divers in Japan.
Since ancient times, Ama divers have prayed for safety during dangerous work at sea and good catches, and it has been believed that ``a woman's wish will always come true'' is enshrined in front of Shinmei-JinjaShrine" Ishigami-san."
Many people from all over the country come to worship.

Last month, the ama diver house ``Gozaya'' opened on Ishigami-san 's approach. The rest area of the newly built old folk house is stylish and has a great atmosphere. You can also get a glimpse of the life of Ama divers.
If you visit Ishigami-san, you should definitely visit♪

When you enter the store, you'll be greeted by a large painting depicting an ama diver in a white Isogi diving in the blue sea. Very impressive☆ Also, it has a nice incense scent.
On the table were bookmarks, oil blotting paper, scented bags, incense and incense plates, stone anchors, Dorman Seman pendants, cookies, and Toba specialty oyster soy sauce and oyster ponzu.
It seems that stone anchors, scented bags, and cookies are popular♪

In addition, there is a space on the first floor where you can relax. There is even a tatami room, which is great for taking a short break.
There is also a retro kitchen and hearth space that was used until recently.

The second floor is a cafe corner with table seats where you can quench your thirst. There are also books about Ama divers.
Also, the ceiling beams, which are made of curved wood, are quite impressive!

It's not just inside the store that feels good. When you go outside, you can see the tools used by Ama divers lined up, which is very interesting.
The old tools in the back field are also interesting.
If you're lucky, you might even meet an older brother who is a painter.

After leaving Gozaya, we headed to osatsu Ama Culture Museum. Here you can learn more about Ama divers, their lives and history in osatsu.
There is also the Shoryu no Matsu (Matsu of Good Luck), where it is said that if you place your hand on the branch and make a wish, your wish will come true.

I wanted to have a leisurely meal at AmaHut(Amagoya), but this time I held back.
Ishigami-san We walked along the promenade to "Whale Cape" after seeing the stone anchor with Dorman Seeman on it, which we had seen on the approach to the temple. It was named after the legend that Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) appeared on a whale once upon a time.
The Pacific Ocean stretching out in front of us was majestic.

On my way back from osatsu, I stopped by the newly opened "Toba Marine Terminal" at Sadahama Port, about a 10-minute walk from JR/Kintetsu Toba Station.
I'm sorry that it's hard to see in the photo, but do you have any idea what the exterior of the terminal is based on? The answer is Toba's specialty "pearl" necklace! It seems that the LED light will glow at night.
Please take a look from a nearby hotel or ship♪

From here, sightseeing boats that tour Toba Bay and municipal liners to Kamishima, Toshijima, Sugashima, and Sakatejima depart.
In addition, there is a green park outside where you can relax, and inside the terminal there is a tourist information corner, a souvenir shop, and a cafe and deck on the second floor where you can relax while looking out at Toba Bay. .
