The head temple of the Takada school of Shinshu Buddhism, which conveys the teachings of Shinran Shonin. Among them, ``Mieido'' and ``Nyoraido'' are the first buildings in Mie Prefecture to be designated as national treasures, and Senshuji's vast grounds are approximately the size of two Tokyo Domes! The highlight of Nyorai-do is its advanced construction technology.

The flapping crane gables on the east and west sides of the large roof are said to have been created by Hidari Jingoro, a legendary carving craftsman who is said to have been active in the early Edo period.
