Invite you to an extraordinary experience with safe, comfortable, cutting-edge mobility
Komono Town is located in the northwestern part of Mie Prefecture, at the foot of the Suzuka Mountains, and is blessed with a rich natural environment and is GozaishoRopeway, which boasts the tallest iron KomonoTown in Japan. You can enjoy a luxurious time at Yunoyama Susukyo, a resort with 12 villas made from natural materials and a restaurant.
The name Sosuikyo comes from a place where you can enjoy ``materials'' in a ``stylish'' manner. From the moment you step inside, the feel of solid wood and large stones and the scent of nature transport you from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
A self-driving mobility shuttle service is available to take you to your villa. Although it is completely unmanned, the ride is very comfortable and children are very happy with it. There's no need to carry heavy luggage, and you'll arrive at the villa in no time while leisurely admiring the buildings and gardens that look like works of art.
The shuttle service can be reserved using a tablet in the guest room, and can also be used when moving around the facility. Even without a driver, you can move to your destination without getting lost and stop perfectly in front of your villa or reception. Many people enjoy riding the rides many times during their stay, as they can experience the latest technology as early as possible.
Self-driving mobility will also be used to deliver room service. A staff member accompanies the train, but as it runs steadily, there is no need to worry about the food falling apart.
You can also head to Aquaignis, a hot spring resort complex a little further away, on a self-driving mobility vehicle (with a driver). You can experience healing programs such as a morning yoga class that goes door-to-door to wake up your body comfortably, and a mineral mist bath that charges and detoxes your body and mind surrounded by natural ores and mist of natural minerals. It's the perfect environment for a luxurious retreat with family, friends, or even alone.
Spend a stress-free time in a space surrounded by art
Each of the 12 villas has a different interior and floor plan, and is constructed from eight materials: earth, stone, plaster, wood, lacquer, Japanese paper, glass, and iron. It feels like an extremely comfortable museum, with bedrooms and Japanese-style rooms filled with modern art, crafts, ancient art, and antiques.
Koichi Uchida, a ceramic artist and sculptor, is in charge of architectural and design supervision and art curation for the entire building. Mr. Uchida has traveled to ceramic regions all over the world, creating and presenting works using a variety of local materials. Currently, he has his own studio in Yokkaichi and the Kosai area of Lake Biwa, and has also opened a private art museum, ``BANKO archive design museum,'' where he explores the relationship between crafts and people.
All buildings are detached inns with open-air baths fed by natural hot springs, giving you a sense of privacy. You can spend a relaxing, stress-free holiday in a space surrounded by casual art.
Of course, you can also enjoy the food. There is a restaurant specializing in aged meat run by a chef who has earned a star in the Michelin Guide, a restaurant famous for fragrant soba noodles made entirely from homemade flour, and a restaurant specializing in "Ippon Eel" (a whole eel roasted in kabayaki), all of which serve carefully selected ingredients from Mie Prefecture. You can enjoy the dishes you use to your heart's content.
Because we select materials that are beautiful in their natural state for each building, their flavor increases over time. It has become an inn with many repeat guests, making them want to stay in that room next time and experience different materials and art.
Implement thorough measures against infectious diseases using digital tools
At Sosuikyo, we are implementing thorough measures against infectious diseases using digital tools so that our customers can spend their time with peace of mind. For example, if a guest arrives by car, a staff member will conduct a drive-through temperature check and the guest will be able to head straight to their room. Even if you check in at the front desk, you can rest assured that we have installed acrylic boards and alcohol disinfectant to prevent infection.
The guest rooms are equipped with a facial recognition room entry/exit system. If you register your face photo when making a reservation, you won't have to go through any check-in procedures, which is very convenient. Even if you forget to pre-register, you can register a photo in front of your room on the day of the event, and you can also register facial information of your family members. Comprised of only 12 private villas and utilizing the latest digital tools, Sosuikyo offers little opportunity to interact with other people during your stay. You will be able to spend your time in peace and relaxation in the Sosuikyo where art and healing are fused.
