Kamoshika Doguten store nestled in the nature of Komono

Kamoshika Doguten was created in 2014 as an in-house brand by Yamaguchi Pottery, a long-time pottery company in Komono. As a result of opening stores at exhibitions in various places and continuing branding, we have expanded our sales channels to include direct sales customers who do not go through wholesalers. In 2017, a physical store was opened in KomonoTown, allowing direct sales and pottery experiences.

They have been posting on Instagram since before they opened their physical store, and as of January 2021, they have over 10,000 followers. After the spread of the new coronavirus infection in 2020, many people refrained from going out, and the need to enjoy "home time" increased. Kamoshika Dogu Store also puts effort into disseminating information, delivering tableware and miscellaneous goods to enrich the time you spend at home through its online shop.

The official Instagram also broadcasts cooking classes using the products on Instagram Live. Many comments from followers

Furthermore, in conjunction with the sale of new products, we will be holding an Instagram Live where culinary experts will demonstrate cooking using the products. It was distributed for five consecutive weeks to convey the image of using the product at home. In this way, we use SNS in various ways to continue disseminating information that people will want to use even if they cannot actually go to the store or pick up the products.

Online store visits, online factory tours... Expanding experiences using the Internet

From December 2020, we introduced a 3D store where you can experience as if you were visiting the store when you access it, and a web visit where staff will serve you via the internet by reservation. The system allows customers to inspect the products as if they were actually shopping there and then purchase them through the online shop.

When visiting the store online, staff will provide detailed product explanations through the online conference system.

Last year, we installed Wi-Fi throughout the factory and introduced a system that allows users to take photos with cameras and tour the factory online. The open factory, which previously required reservations, is now available online. We are continuing to hold hands-on pottery experiences by limiting reservations to one group at a time and taking measures to prevent the spread of infection, but we are also working to offer experiences that are possible online.

I hope you will come to Komono someday through online activities.

At physical stores, we have installed large air purifiers, disinfected with alcohol, taken temperature checks, and installed acrylic boards at cash registers to prevent infectious diseases.

The symbol is the serow, which is the animal of Komono town.

Since KomonoTown has many other spots suitable for sightseeing, efforts are being made to promote the town as a tourist destination by taking advantage of its location overlooking the Suzuka Mountains. Kamoshika Dogu Store also hopes that by providing information on nearby attractions through Instagram and other online channels, it will give people an opportunity to visit and tour Komono.

As people spend more time at home, many people have probably discovered that there are more experiences available online than they expected, and the convenience of online shopping, which allows them to order items from all over Japan from the comfort of their own home. However, there are still many people who are looking for a real-life experience, where they can hold and touch it, experience it with their own bodies, and interact with real people in the town.
At Kamoshika Dogu Store, we continue to provide a place where you can enjoy both online and real life, while continuing to make various improvements and improvements.
