Enjoy the changing nature that changes with the seasons
From solo campers to families, enjoy outdoor activities!
Located in an environment blessed with great nature, Riverside Chakura offers lodging plans tailored to the individual needs of individuals and families, including cottages, bungalows, and auto campsites. You can also enjoy day trips outdoors at barbecue houses and other facilities.
Camping is extremely popular and can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, from families to the current trendy solo campers. The lawn area that can be used as a free camping site is in an excellent location with a view of the majestic Chakura Bridge right next to it. Play equipment is also set up in the plaza, so you can lie down on the grass and relax while letting your children play within sight.
There is also an auto campsite, and there are 5 auto sites with power sources that can use up to 500W within the facility. You can relax under a kotatsu in the winter, take a break with a fan in the summer, and bring your favorite home appliances with you to enjoy your camping trip in comfort. Since you can park your car next to it, it's safe for families and beginners who tend to carry a lot of luggage, such as children's clothes and toys. A kitchen and toilet are available on the premises.
Even those who find it difficult to pitch a tent outdoors can easily camp in cottages and bungalows. The cottage, which can accommodate up to four people, is fully equipped with a shower, kitchen, air conditioner, and toilet, as well as a gas stove, refrigerator, and rice cooker, so it's safe even for beginners in the outdoors. The U-shaped groove in front of the cottage can be used for BBQs and bonfires, allowing you to enjoy the outdoors with friends and family around the fire.
Last year, all of the bungalows were fully air-conditioned and can accommodate up to 7 to 10 people. There is a covered BBQ space in front of the bungalow, perfect for when you want to have fun with a large group.
The main building of Riverside Chakura is a Scandinavian-style building with a pension attached. There are four rooms in the building that can accommodate up to 22 people. There is also a restaurant space and conference room, making it easy to use for both families and group training camps. There is WiFi in the main building, so it is recommended for remote work while surrounded by nature.
Other outdoor activities such as tennis and BBQ can be held on the premises. Courts are available for 500 yen per hour. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, where people tend to lack exercise, we want to enjoy exercise in the clear air without worrying about crowds.
Seasonal woodworking experiences and the Shincha Festival are very popular with children.
There are also seasonal woodworking experience programs for children, such as making kadomatsu and bamboo dolls. Advance reservations are required, but applications from non-guests are also accepted, and the experience lasts for 1 to 2 hours, so feel free to join.
When you think of MatsusakaCity, Matsusaka beef comes to mind, but it is also famous for its tea production. At the tea fields adjacent to Riverside Tea House, the "New Tea Festival" is held on the last day of Golden Week every year, and you can not only pick tea leaves, but also make your own tea leaves that you can drink at home. You can enjoy freshly harvested tea on the spot. Every year, a tea mochi pounding experience is also included, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing time while enjoying the scent of tea and feeling the seasons. The event is held in the morning, and is a very popular event with 60 to 70 participants each year, including many from MatsusakaCity and repeat visitors from nearby areas.
