Village of Ninja Training, TheAkame48Falls “NinjanoMori” (NabariCity Part 2)

掲載日:2011.09.08

NabariCity, famous for TheAkame48Falls, is a city next to IgaCity, the birthplace of Iga-ryu ninja. This TheAkame48Falls is one of the training spots for ninjas, and it is said that Momochi Tamba, the founder of the Iga-ryu ninja, trained here.
In 2010, the `` NinjanoMori'' of TheAkame48Falls, the village of ninja training, was born. This time, we had the opportunity to closely interview a girl who came from Osaka to train. NabariCity Part 2 (August 2011)

Change into a bright red costume and transform into a ``kunoichi''. Let's go to NinjanoMori ♪ Our guide, a kunoichi guide, gave us an explanation about ninjas at Enjuin Temple.
By the way, Enju-in Temple is said to have been opened about 1,300 years ago by Enno Gyoja, who is said to be the founder of Shugendo. It is said that the name comes from the legend that he encountered Fudo Myoo.

First, they trained in the art of climbing over castle walls and the stone walls of mansions. Overcome three walls of different heights. The last wall is quite high! Let's work together and climb up. In addition to this, you can also practice climbing techniques using a rope.

Next, we will train in the ``invasion technique'' of sneaking into mansions and other places. Straddle a 15m rope, hook one foot onto the rope, balance on the other hand, and move forward along the rope...Easier said than done. But it's worth the challenge!

Then, they practiced the ``Tobizaru no Jutsu'', which uses a rope to jump and escape. It's like Tarzan. I don't say aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa kind to kinda way to kind of way. It's more difficult than I thought.

Then I started training again for the "invasion technique." Now it's time to walk the tightrope! During training, we use a slackline, a 5cm wide rope that originated in Europe and America. Although it is taut, it feels fluffy when you ride it, and it feels like walking on a trampoline. Once you get used to it, you can even jump, so maybe you can become a ninja?

This time, we will practice ``walking'', which is walking quickly on walls and roofs without making any noise. Walk on three logs connected together. There are many ways ninjas walk, such as ``ninja foot'' and ``floating foot.''
And throwing shuriken. First, hit the target normally. Next is the training when running away, where you shoot shuriken while running! This is a fairly difficult training.

Next, we learned the art of climbing the castle walls without using tools. Free climbing, which originated in Europe and America, involves climbing along a 25m long wall. It was my first challenge, so it was fun ☆
By the way, ninjas apparently trained to lift 60kg rice bales with their thumb and forefinger!

And finally, practice the ``water spider technique'' of crossing moats and rivers. The destination we headed for was the Takigawa River, which descends the mountain and flows through TheAkame48Falls Valley. Of course, it is a cool river with a gentle but flowing flow. Wearing special mizugumo shoes made based on historical facts, it's time to go to war. We will follow the rope passed over the river.
Whether or not you cross the river safely is a secret, but it's fun to watch, and even more fun to actually do! Apparently it's the most popular (not available in winter). Recommended☆

With this, the ninja training is over. Even if you cross the river or fall into the river, you will be praised for your training and receive a certificate written in ninja characters called ``Iga Akame-ryu Ninja License Comprehension Book''♪
In this NinjanoMori, you can change into a ninja costume and experience training to the fullest in the midst of nature. Not only small children but also adults can definitely enjoy it! Refresh your mind and body at TheAkame48Falls and NinjanoMori ♪

I had a lot of fun training as a ninja, so here's a little more. At TheAkame48Falls Souvenir Shop near the entrance to Akame Shijuhachi Waterfall, I had the famous ninja food ``Iga Ninja Burger'' (380 yen). The golden blend of Iga beef and Mie pork goes perfectly with the cabbage and buns. I ate it all in one go. It was delicious☆ It's fun to chat with the friendly black dog and the friendly staff.
