Toba International Hotel Shiojitei has reopened!

掲載日:2010.09.24

We covered Toba Kokusai Hotel Japanese-style Ryokan Shioji-tei, which has reopened after renovations based on the concept of ``God's blessings, the sea's blessings. A moving inn.'' (March 2012)

This is "Toba Kokusai Hotel Shinju no Sato Hospitality Shiojitei." In contrast to the Western-style Toba Kokusai Hotel, this one is purely Japanese. There is a calm atmosphere.
The concept was ``God's blessings, the sea's blessings. An inspiring inn.''

From the lobby, you can see the lawn plaza, Toba Bay, and Toba Marine Terminal beautifully. This terminal, where sightseeing boats and liners take off and land, has a distinctive curve shaped like Toba's specialty ``pearl necklace,'' and you can clearly see it from Shioji-tei. It shines beautifully at night♪

Let's go to the new guest room. A low bed in a tatami room. With a high-quality design that combines Japanese calm and Western comfort, you'll be sure to relax and unwind. The ``Ise katagami'', a craftsmanship technique from Mie Prefecture, hung on the wall is also stylish.

Next, upgrade further. This is a ``Premium Suite'' room with an open-air bath. The space is truly spacious, and the wood and tatami mats create a calm atmosphere. The open-air bath and deck terrace overlooking the Japanese garden are the ultimate in luxury.

Also highly recommended: Japan's first "Pearl Aurora Bath". The name of the hot spring is ``Tokowaka no Yu''. This is Japan's first bath created in collaboration with Mikimoto Cosmetics. The blessings of rare pearls that can only be extracted from pearls and Akoya oysters will lead to "pearly skin" that shines like a pearl.

The second blessing of the sea is food! The keyword is "seasonal produce". At private dining, you can enjoy fresh ingredients from Ise-Shima and carefully selected ingredients from all over the country in season. I'm looking forward to the "Modern Kaiseki" created by a collaboration between Toba Kokusai Hotel's French cuisine and Shiojitei's Japanese cuisine.
Additionally, a new teppanyaki seating area has been added, where Mie brand Ise lobster, abalone, Matsusaka beef, and more will be prepared right in front of your eyes. It will stimulate your five senses and be even more delicious!

In addition, the famous store at the back of the lobby sells many Mie brand products such as Iga-Yaki and pearls, as well as traditional Mie crafts such as Ise katagami, Iga kumihimo, and Suzuka ink, all of which have been passed down through the generations of craftsmen. We also have hotel original products.

Here's a little extra. Toba Kokusai Hotel is built on a hill on a cape overlooking Toba Bay, and is a place where the imperial family and foreign guests stay. I was also shown an ocean view suite room that was renovated prior to Shiojitei. The noble Western-style room with a sense of openness is also wonderful.

The traditional French restaurant at Toba Kokusai Hotel is recommended, but the terrace with sofas on the wooden deck is also great. You can have the scenic Toba Bay all to yourself while listening to the sound of the ocean!

Be sure to enjoy the excitement that you can only enjoy at IseJingu tei, which is close to Ise Grand Shrine and full of seafood, pearls, and other blessings from the sea.
