A father of a naughty daughter and a selfish son who lives in IseCity.
There tends to be an increase in photos of children looking like idiots (lol), but do they look energetic, fun, and cute? We are active with this motto!
After actually going out with my family, I'm sharing the charms of Mie that I highly recommend.
Why you should enjoy illuminations this summer

There are three main reasons why you should go to illumination this summer.

The first reason is that you can enjoy the fantastic light while feeling the cool night breeze.
Winter illuminations are very romantic, but some people may be hesitant to go out in the cold.
However, with Summer Illumination, you can enjoy the scenery wrapped in fog and light amidst the cool night breeze.

The second is an experience only available on summer nights.
In the summer of 2021, many summer festivals and fireworks festivals that we were looking forward to have been cancelled.
During the summer illuminations, you can enjoy a space colored with fantastic light that is unique to summer.

The third is the `` Irimura fee''.
The summer entrance fee is 1,600 yen for elementary school students and above (includes a 1,000 yen coupon that can be used within the village), which is 700 yen cheaper than in the winter.
Due to the sunset time, the lights will be turned on later than in winter, but you can use coupons to shop inside the park, so you can have fun while waiting for the lights to light up.

When is Nabananosato Summer Illumination held?

This is actually only the second time this year Nabananosato Summer Illumination has been held!
The event will be held from July 17th to September 20th, 2021, so you can enjoy it until summer vacation and Autumn Silver Week.

Illumination lighting times vary depending on sunset time, but are generally from around 7pm until closing time.

Next, we will introduce the highlights of Summer Illumination!

Milky Way

One of the largest water illuminations in Japan creates a mysterious Milky Way! !

It consists of a special 10-minute program that is different from the winter water illuminations.

From the gorgeous rainbow-colored opening to the grand program inspired by space, beautiful moving particles of light decorate the entire pond.

A popular spot for this illumination is on the bridge opposite the chapel, where people were gathering even before the illumination was lit.

Corridor of light and fog

The 200 meter long “Tunnel of Light” is a super popular spot in Nabananosato

This spot has been selected as one of the ``Best Views in the World You Must Visit Before You Die!'' During the summer illuminations, it is created with a fantastic fog.

As you walk through the fog-filled tunnel of light, your entire body will be enveloped in mist, allowing you to experience the refreshing illuminations that only summer can offer.
My daughter couldn't help but make this expression when she saw the dazzling light and fantastic fog (lol)

The fog blows out vigorously at regular intervals.

The two of them were distracted by the cute petal-shaped sockets surrounding the tunnel, and were excited by the unexpected spray of mist. (lol)

Sea of clouds and sea of cherry blossoms

A sea of clouds shrouded in fantastic mist also appeared in Millennium Garden.

From the summer of 2021, the entire sea of clouds will change not only to blue, reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea, but also to bright pink, reminiscent of cherry blossoms.

When a small child enters a sea of clouds, their entire body is enveloped in mist.
The children moved gingerly through the sea of clouds as if they were doing a little exploration (lol).

Flower garden of light (new spot)

As you go a little further beyond the tunnel, you will see a field of tulips and wisteria trellis sparkling with LED lights.

What's more, if you walk through the path inside the flower garden, you can even get into a cute teacup like this!
Looking around from the teacup, I was able to enjoy the romantic tulips with a 360 degree panoramic view.

The wisteria trellis that surrounds the flower garden has a vibrant effect of changing colors.

Taking a walk on a summer night while looking at the glittering tulips and wisteria trellis gives you a very luxurious feeling.

twin tree

This is a twin tree that is well known for its winter illuminations.

The impressive 20 meter tall sparkle was a popular photo spot this summer as well!

begonia garden

Are you feeling a little tired from the hot days this year?
"If you're going out, it's best to go somewhere cool!"
Begonia Garden is a spot where you can have fun and cool down!

It's a large greenhouse filled with 12,000 flowers, and the room temperature is maintained at 26 degrees even in summer!
The inside of the building was cool even in the hot summer, making it feel like you had wandered into the world of a painting.

If you have to wait for the illuminations to come on, or if you want to take a break from walking around the park, please stop by.

*A separate fee is required to enter the Begonia Garden, but you can use the cash voucher you receive when entering the village.
Furthermore, if you purchase an admission ticket at the local counter and enter Nabananosato before 5pm, you will receive a complimentary ticket that allows elementary school students and above to enter the village for 500 yen.
Admission fee
Adult 1000 yen
Elementary and junior high school students 700 yen
Infant (3 years old and over) 200 yen
