Fukurokuju Sohonten, located in Tokiwa 1-chome in Yokkaichi, is a long-established store that was founded in 1961. After starting our business as a caterer, we opened our current store in 1989, and since then we have expanded our menu to include authentic sushi, kappo, children's set meals, and Tonteki(PorkSteak)'s famous Tonteki set meals. This is a restaurant loved by the local community where everyone from small children to the elderly can enjoy a meal.

Sushi/Kappo Fukurokuju Sohonten

Fukurokuju Sohonten is a sushi and kappo restaurant located about 7 minutes by car from Kintetsu Yokkaichi Station.
In addition to having a large parking lot that can accommodate about 30 cars, the store is also conveniently located as it is a 7-minute walk from Kintetsu Nakagawara Station.

This time, we heard that this store was selected as an excellent store in Mie Prefecture's "Anshin Mie Ria" certification system, so we decided to interview it!

When you enter the store, first take your temperature and disinfect!

Both are automatic, so it's great that you can do it quickly without having to wait for the staff. The shoe rack in the back, which features a large wooden key called the ``Shochiku Lock'', is also lovely.

On the first floor, there were table seats, semi-private tatami rooms, and private tatami rooms.

The seats in the photo are in the private room.
It has a sunken kotatsu, so it's easy to sit and relax.

As soon as the new coronavirus infection spread, this restaurant took measures such as installing shatterproof acrylic panels at all seats, temperature checks and disinfectant at the entrance, and is putting a lot of effort into preventing infectious diseases. That's what happened.

*In this article, we briefly introduced the details of infectious disease prevention measures, but if you want to know more, please check out "Anshin Mie Ria"!

Next, let's take a look at the menu.

please look. This menu has so much to offer! Of course, there is also the other side (lol).
This time, we tried the ``Ootoku Gozen'' and ``Gokai Seafood Bowl,'' which are carefully recommended by the proprietress.

Recommended menu carefully selected by the landlady: Daitoku Gozen (1,760 yen)

It's a very luxurious meal.
It comes with main dishes such as sashimi and shabu-shabu, small side dishes, simmered dishes, steamed egg custard, and even dessert. In terms of appearance, the bamboo basket and arare hotpot were stylish and luxurious, and the food was filling and delicious.

Gorgeous seafood bowl (1,760 yen)

The seafood bowl is full of volume, just like the word ``exciting''!
There are more than 10 kinds of ingredients, such as shrimp, salmon roe, and tuna, so you can't even see the rice, so it's hard to decide which to eat first. I also like that it comes with miso soup and dessert.

I asked what makes it so delicious!

It seems that the seafood sold at the shop is purchased directly from the market, and the sashimi in particular was sharp and fresh. Since they also cater, they are confident of the freshness of their ingredients as they have a quick rotation of ingredients!

They are also very particular about the rice they use, using ``Iga rice Koshihikari,'' which has been awarded ``Special A'' seven times in the ``Rice Taste Ranking.'' In addition to catering, they have recently begun focusing on bento boxes, in-store menu delivery, and takeout.

The lunch menu (11 a.m. to 2 p.m., excluding Sundays and holidays) also seems to be popular. If you take a look at this menu, you will see that it is reasonably priced and satisfying. No wonder it's so popular!

Perhaps because the store's name is "Fukurokuju" (one of the Seven Lucky Gods), there were scrolls and ornaments inside the store.
There are also three temples in the area, Senpuku-ji, Mitsuzo-in, and Daisho-in, which are a pilgrimage/fudasho consisting of seven temples in the Hokusei area, known as the ``Ise Seven Lucky Gods.'' It seems that people who come to pray there also often come to eat there.

From authentic sushi and kaiseki cuisine to Yokkaichi's famous pork Tonteki(PorkSteak)meals, fillet cutlet set meals, and children's dishes, it was a restaurant where people of all ages could enjoy delicious meals.

If you are in the area, please feel free to stop by.
