掲載日:2021.10.15

Mieyani is an izakaya in TsuCity that aims to use ingredients from Mie Prefecture for all of its menu items. The restaurant has a strong commitment to local production for local consumption, with 80% of its ingredients sourced from Mie Prefecture, and seasonings such as soy sauce, miso, and salt also sourced from Mie Prefecture. We will introduce a food report of a lunch menu rich in Mie ingredients and thorough measures against infectious diseases.

What is "Mie's Food Coloring Bar Mieyani"?

This izakaya is located near Mie University, and is characterized by its commitment to local production and local consumption and its strong love for the local area. Ingredients such as fish, meat, eggs, rice, and seasonings are produced in Mie Prefecture, and the interior is decorated with Matsusaka cotton and Ise katagami paper.

The lineup of dishes includes standard menus such as sashimi, skewers, fried dishes, and stir-fried dishes, as well as Mie's local gourmet dishes such as `` TsuGyoza'', `` Tonteki(PorkSteak)'', and `` KameyamaMisoYakiUdon'.

The shop's signboard reads, ``I love the sea, I love the mountains, I love alcohol, I love people, and I love Mie.'' You can feel the concept of "Yani)" throughout the store.

About measures against infectious diseases

The restaurant has semi-private rooms and tatami rooms, and partitions have been installed at each table to prevent face-to-face contact.
The partitions are suspended from the ceiling, creating a space where it is difficult for people seated to feel distanced from each other.

We have implemented thorough measures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, such as disinfecting your hands upon entering the store, prohibiting shouting or calling while seated, and using non-contact faucets and detergent in the restrooms.

The creation of a relaxing space and thorough measures against infectious diseases gave me a sense of safe and secure hospitality.
It's no wonder that we were selected as an excellent store in the ` `Anshin Mie Ria'' certification system.

Attention to interior design

The table seats are separated by red Matsusaka cotton cloth, and the stone-paved walkway is designed to resemble IseJingu.

The cobblestones are surrounded by Nachi Kuroishi stones, which remind you of ShichiriMihamaBeach in Kumano.

Some of the semi-private rooms are decorated with Ise Katagami cutouts, and cherry blossom logs are displayed in an arch shape at the entrance.

This wood is also sourced from Mie Prefecture, and you can feel Mie throughout the store.

Report on “Mie’s Food Colorful Lunch”

The lunch menu is a set meal set that includes TsuGyoza, Tonteki(PorkSteak), Fried Isedori, Tataki Matsusaka Beef, Sashimi, and Daily Special. You can choose from 6 types.

For this interview, I ordered the "Shokusai Lunch TsuGyoza". The small bowls change daily and are rich in variety and filling!

On the day of the interview, small bowls included Nose tofu (*1) cold tofu, dashi rolled eggs made with eggs from Mie Prefecture and green seaweed, sashimi of red sea bream from Mie Prefecture, and Ise Kinsōdori. I had gizzard ajillo.

The rice is made with Iga rice, Koshihikari, and the miso soup is made with miso from Tsujioka Jozo (*2), making this a carefully selected lunch that is thoroughly produced and consumed locally.

All the side dishes were seasoned to complement the rice, and we were able to enjoy the deliciousness of Mie ingredients. The main ingredient, `` TsuGyoza'', will be explained in the next chapter.

*1 Nose Tofu: Tofu manufactured by Nose Shoten in MatsusakaCity.
*2 Tsujioka Jozo: A brewery that brews miso and soy sauce in TsuCity.

Food report on the signature menu “Goku★ TsuGyoza”

The most popular menu item is "Goku★ TsuGyoza". This gyoza is called `` TsuGyoza'', a B-class gourmet dish in TsuCity, and is a deep-fried gyoza with a diameter of about 15 cm.

TsuGyoza at Mie no Shokusai Sakaba Mieyani has more vegetables than other stores! The meat in the filling is a blend of beef, chicken, and pork from Mie Prefecture, creating a perfect balance between the juiciness of the meat and the healthy flavor of the vegetables.

Gyoza tends to lose its shape if there are too many vegetables, but this ``Goku★ TsuGyoza'' is the ultimate TsuGyoza that the owner, who used to run a gyoza specialty store, can make.

There is also ``Swee TsuGyoza'' which contains apple pulp, so be sure to try both.

Take-out "Mieyani bento"

The ``Mieyani Bento'', which is a bento based on a popular menu item, costs between 500 yen and 1,000 yen, which is a better value than eating it inside the restaurant.

Among them, the ``Tsu TsuGyoza Bento'' containing ``Goku★ TsuGyoza Gyoza'' is priced at 500 yen, which is a nice one-coin price. The take-out price for TsuGyoza is 300 yen (324 yen including tax), so it's a great value.

Other take-out menu items include Iga rice tempura, omelet rolled in dashi soup with green vegetables, and KameyamaMisoYakiUdon, so you can enjoy the delicious flavors of the restaurant at home.
