The farm produce store "Asatsumi" opened on July 2, 2016 in TsuCity takanocho! At this facility, one of the largest in the prefecture, you can purchase freshly harvested local produce, and enjoy meals made with Tsu ingredients and freshly made gelato.
On July 2, 2016, a farm produce store called "Asatsumi" opened in TsuCity takanocho, so I immediately went to visit it.
As one of the prefecture's largest direct sales stores for agricultural products, the building is spacious and there is plenty of parking space.
This is "Farmer's Market Asatsumi". I visited the store just after it opened, but I was surprised to see that there were customers even before the store opened.
The store has fresh produce grown by local farmers in TsuCity. Since it's summer time, there are many large tomatoes lined up, and their bright colors make me want to buy them!
Corn, peppers, eggplant, and a wide variety of seasonal vegetables are available. By the way, the products lined up sold out quickly after a while.
Not only vegetables but also fruits! I didn't know that beautiful peaches can be grown in TsuCity due to lack of knowledge. You may be able to discover local vegetables and fruits that you never knew existed.
Asatsumi has a processing workshop where you can purchase freshly made tofu, Japanese sweets, and side dishes. The torimeshi in the photo is said to be a local gourmet dish from takanocho that has Asatsumi.
There are also products from Mie University, a local university in TsuCity. In Mie Prefecture, you can often see Mie University products in supermarkets these days, but this is the first time I've seen any of them.
``Baumkuchen that cannot be tweeted'' has become a hot topic on TV and in newspapers, and its official name is ``National University Corporation Mie University Graduate School of Bioresources Kii-Kuroshio Life Regional Field Science Center Attached Facility Farm x French Dutch Sweets Refrain x Liberal Arts Foundation Course There was also a sale of ``Strawberry Baumkuchen'' made in collaboration with students who took ``Entrepreneur Theory'' in the career education area and ``Regional Understanding Special Lecture S'' in the integrated liberal arts subject area of regional understanding/Japanese understanding. But it's a long product name...
The store also sells cut flowers.
This will be a food court. Enjoy dishes made with local ingredients in a space surrounded by flowers and plants.
The menu is supervised by Professor Murabayashi of Soka High School, who is oka for his ``high school student restaurant,'' and the menu is made with lots of vegetables.
The gelato is made with 100% milk from TsuCity and comes in over 10 flavors. There's a flavor that caught my attention...
How does it taste like Ise shrimp? It's a taste unique to Mie Prefecture, so please try it once.
The gardening department has a large selection of seasonal potted flowers and locally grown group plants.
There is also an exchange center and an event plaza that could not be shown in the photos, and there are plans to hold various events in the future. Please visit Asatsumi you can enjoy no matter how many times you come.
