What is Shinsen? Taste local specialties such as salt, bonito flakes, and kelp in Ise Shima!

Shinsen is a meal offered to the gods. For about 1,500 years, at IseJingu (Geku), food such as salt, bonito flakes, and kelp have been served twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, without fail. They offer their meals to Amaterasu-Omikami and offer thanks and prayers.

You cannot eat food that is offered as a divine food at IseJingu.
We will introduce you to a shop that is loved by the locals and produces the same food products as the Shinsen, such as salt, bonito flakes, and kelp, using special manufacturing methods.

I think it will make your trip to Ise a more enjoyable experience.
