What is #BearPhotoRally2024?

In order to further utilize its many tourism resources, KumanoCity will be holding the "Kuma Photo Rally 2024" with the aim of discovering new tourist spots from a tourist's perspective.
Eligible works include tourist spots, scenery, events, food, and anything else that captures the essence of KumanoCity KumanoCity
Over the past six years, over 15,000 photos have been submitted, including many beautiful landscape photos and photos of people enjoying KumanoCity, and many of these photos have been used in tourist brochures and tourism promotions. Take photos in KumanoCity, submit them, and enter a lottery to win great prizes!

Qualification requirements

Anyone, whether professional or amateur, can apply as long as it is an unpublished work.
Of course, photos from smartphones and digital cameras are also OK!

way to participate

1. Take photos in KumanoCity.
2. Post the photos you take on Instagram with the tag "#BearPhotoRally2024".

*One person can post as many photos as they like. However, only one work per person will be entered into the lottery.

The secretariat will hold a lottery among those who post with the tag "#BearPhotoRally2024", and the winners will be contacted via direct message.
*In order to send a message, please make sure to follow the official Kuma Photo Rally Instagram account "@kumanophotorally".
It doesn't matter how good your photography is or how many followers you have. Anyone can win!

This year, we will be establishing a special award, the "Kumano Kodo Award," for works that feature the Kumano Kodo as a World Heritage Site, as a commemorative 20th anniversary of the event.
In addition, in order to discover new tourist spots from a tourist's perspective, those who take and submit photos that fit the theme of "night" or "early morning" will have a higher chance of winning!

The submitted photos will be used for KumanoCity 's tourism promotion, including exhibitions and pamphlets.

Notes on application

• Applications must be taken in person.
• Works must be taken within KumanoCity.
• Regarding submitted photos, only adjustments such as color tone and density may be made, and extreme modifications such as grouping, compositing, or partial deletion are not permitted.
• Photos posted in the past can also be submitted. Please repost with the hashtag "#KumaPhotoRally2024".
• If your Instagram account is set to "private" during the application period, your application will be invalidated.
• If a person appears in the work, we cannot be held responsible for infringement of portrait rights. When applying, please be sure to obtain the consent of the person in question.
• We will contact the winners via direct message.
• Please be sure to follow the official Instagram account "@kumanophotorally" to send messages.
• If we are unable to contact you within 5 days of notifying you of your winnings, we may give your prize to another person.
• Personal information registered as information necessary for shipping prizes will be used only for shipping prizes and related communications, and will not be used for any other purpose.
