Afterwards at Mise Fort Ruins Showitori
It is said to have been the residence of the Mise clan, who were vassals of Kitabatake and influential people in the land.
It is located at the beak-shaped tip where the Otani River meets the main stream of the Miyagawa River, and has cliffs on three sides to the south, west, and north, making it a stronghold.
The fort is surrounded by an earthen embankment approximately 3 meters high, and there is an old well inside that retains the vestiges of the past.
Currently, cedars are planted and Hachiman Shrine is enshrined here. A rice cake throwing ceremony is held at the annual festival in March every year.
It was designated as a historic site by the Prefectural Board of Education on March 27, 1975.
