Riverbank rock wall plant communities in Takiya and Hinohara [Prefecturally designated natural monument] Takiya and Kisohara riverside rock wall plant communities
There are places where various plants grow in clusters on the rock walls of Takidani and Hinohara facing the deep gorge of the Miyagawa River.
The northern limit of this area is Japan's special species, such as the Japanese orchid orchid, as well as angiosperms such as the rock staghorn, as well as ferns and moss plants.
It is an academically valuable place with a warm-climate riverbank quay plant community.
It was designated as a prefectural natural monument on March 17, 1999 (H11).
