Shishijima, twin uninhabited islands floating just in front of Gokasho Port. Unique plants grow on Shishijima, and from mid-February to April, the beautiful flowers of Hamajincho, which can only be seen here on Honshu, bloom.

In addition, there are plants such as the Ubamegashi and Taimintachibana, which are said to be about 1000 years old, and the Hitotsuba fern, making the vegetation a little different from the surrounding area. Benten is enshrined on the island.
It was designated as a prefectural natural monument on April 7, 1955 (S30).
