Take a boat trip to see ama divers fishing
Watch Ama diver's traditional work
This is a tour where you can watch active Ama divers fishing from the boat. We will also visit AmaHut(Amagoya)the ama divers can take a rest. It is a valuable experience where you can listen to many stories from Ama divers who know everything about the sea.
Ama divers, who collect shellfish and seaweed from the ocean floor by free diving, have a history of about 3,000 years.
While the number of people involved in this work is decreasing in various regions, there are currently approximately 800 people working in Mie Prefecture. The number is the highest in Japan!
