This is a tour where you can go on a boat trip with active Ama divers, observe traditional Ama fishing, and then have a barbecue of sea fish caught on the boat. The boat departs from the port, which is a 3-minute walk from Kashijima Station. You can enjoy a luxurious time while looking out at the beautiful sea.
Ama divers, who collect shellfish and seaweed from the ocean floor by free diving, have a history of about 3,000 years. While the number of people involved in this work is decreasing in various regions, there are currently approximately 800 people working in Mie Prefecture. The number is the highest in Japan!
