Why not experience the traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation in Sekijuku Tokaido?
It flourished as the 47th post town of the 53 stations Tokaido, and is located in a corner of Sekijuku on Tokaido road that still retains the atmosphere of the past.The ``Seki no Oke'', which is designated as a traditional craft by Mie Prefecture, is handcrafted by skilled craftsmen. ``Okeju'' was founded in 1898. We use materials such as sawara, cedar, and koyamaki from Shinshu, depending on the type, and we manufacture tubs of various sizes, such as hanate okes and sushi okes, to order.
At Okeju, which has remained unchanged since its founding in Sekijuku, you can see traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation that you cannot normally see.
