Horimen Jizo Horimenjizo
Jizo statue that is said to make a single wish come true
It was built during the Tenpo era (1830-1844) by the parents of a daughter who threw herself into the moat of Matsuzaka Castle due to a broken heart. At that time, this area was Matsusaka Castle. Because it was located next to the moat, it was named "Horimen Jizo." It is also called ``Ichigo Jizo'' because it is said that if you make a single wish, it will definitely come true.
It is said to be ``Matsuzaka's power spot'' and is visited by men and women of all ages.
